etc6849
I don't know about others, but active 3d glasses give me a headache. I usually have only one or two headaches a year, but if I watch a full movie with those glasses, it's a guarantee I'll have one. Passive 3d glasses are probably the way to go, but I haven't tried them before as I don't go to the theater.
Taz
Still have an old Black and White TV. This set has at least a 13" screen, and detail, you can't beat it. I tell ya it's coming back! Just like vinyl, and tubes for music. Just wait and see. A few more Khorns and LaScala's and I'll be set up for surround sound. John
derrickdj1
The good thing for us with 3D TV's is that is does excellent 2D. All ot the 3D Bluray that I have give the option to play a movies in 2D which is use 90% of the time. The problem with it was the need for eveyone to have glasses. JJkizak
I second the motion on 21 x 9 aspect. I did read somewhere that the 16 x 9 aspect was lobbyied by the Euorpeans more like resurecting 2 x 1. JJK

minermark
Hey Guys, remember the thread "3-D anyone?". https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/119204-3-d-anyone/?hl=cheap#entry1318413 Well seems I'm not the only one who didn't care for it. 3D production has come to a screeching halt! http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9240667/The_3D_TV_fad_is_already_over I guess we can get on with 4K or whatever you call the next thing. http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/3d-tv-is-dead-long-live-4k Out west, Fry's is dumping them, high dollar still, but moving them out. 3D is not for me. tigerwoodKhorns
Looks like I need to go out and buy a 3D TV, HDMI 1.3 receiver and accessories, then dump them and but a new 4K TV. What happens if you miss your yearly contribution to the manufacturers? Can they audit you? Are there penalties for late payments? Moderators dtel Posted February 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 9, 2014 What happens if you miss your yearly contribution to the manufacturers? What happens is they put up formats or hurry to make the new best thing you can't live without as punishment. If you weren't quick enough to jump on vhs they tricked you with beta, for the really late people you were fooled into laserdisc. 16x9 came out if you didn't jump quick they introduced 6 to 8 other sizes just to play with you, hdmi not quick enough buying, well come out with a second version...sucker. It goes on and on, it's a conspiracy I tell ya.
