March Madness, On Wisconsin now that Green went!

I too like Mercer and their seniors. Whoever survives the Mercer vs Tenn game will have their hands full with Michigan.

As a Spartan (MSU '71) I find it hard to root for Michigan, but I did it last year in the finals.

This year it's a win win when Michigan plays anyone but MSU. If Michigan wins, it's good for B1G Conference. If Michigan loses, that never gets old.

I do have a great appreciation for your outlook; especially being a MSU grad.

As a Texas Ex, I cringe at anything involving Texas a&m, even tiddlywinks. Go MSU....

hope we can still be friends…i took a first responder course from Texas A & M--but, it was an online course (did that save me?)

Oh yes... we are still friends... Online courses do not upset the apple cart. Most true aggies haven't figured out how to get online to take any courses.

After an opening night going 14-2 (losses were ohio st and arizona state) -- my bracket has really taken a beating.

Ive lost two elite 8 teams (Syracuse and UMass already). My Final Four are still intact though (Arizona, Louisville, Michigan State, Florida).

Watch out for Baylor..... They are playing well.....

I had them this far in my bracket; but, this is the end of the road for them. I have them losing to Wisconsin next.

Wisconsin may win... and I'm not a great supporter of Baylor, but I do follow the Big 12.... Baylor has BB players that are NBA caliber.... They are just now getting it together.... Be alert....

Thebes into bball? He's not quite the intellectual cognoscenti I might have thought. C'mon Thebes, bball is the musical of the sports world. Damn where's that`razor blade I left in New York?

Sigh. The Orange have left the stadium. Until next year.

In this OT, we part our ways. College BBall is a better dance than the finest ballet, a magical mix of poetry, pathos and art. The greek philosophers would have all been college hoop fans. And if you like adrenaline at all, where else would you rather be than following the greatest circus on earth, 64 teams over two days.

I am not a great sports fan, but magic to me is running home with my bookbag slapping against my leg to catch the afternoon game of the late 50's an early 60's Yankees pennant races, and OD'ing on college hoop during those magical first two days. Without such things I would truly raise a razor blade to my throat.

Strip away the hype, the hoary prognosticators, the commercialism, the excess fandom, the whole lotta crapola March Madness exudes and you are still delving into grace and glory, human poetry expressed in talent and tears. Oh no my friend, not a musical, but a dance of life.
