TasDom
Just got back from a few days of R&R in the Colorado Rockies. My company's region won an annual growth award so 10 of us got to do some ATV riding and stay at an incredible home. 10,000 s.f. of beautiful architecture with 3 levels including a HT, pool table. ping pong, foosball and many other amenities. Was a great 3 days! The Home Views from my bedroom balcony Some of the architecture in the home My favorite floor The home theater was set up really nice but lacked any high quality equipment. I really like the way they framed the screen with logs. Yes, yes they are! Riding was a blast, beautiful country. Well I think I've used up my quota of photo's for the year......enjoy! BTW, the house is for sale if anyone has an extra 2.5 mil lying around
Moderators dtel Posted September 7, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 7, 2014 That's looks like a great time and an amazing house, I love logs and wood. Well I have to ask, how did the theater sound ?
willland
Awesome photos. Congrats on the recognition. A huge theater like that with an RSX-5 system? I bet they sounded pretty good for their size. Bill Edited September 7, 2014 by willland

TasDom
That's looks like a great time and an amazing house, I love logs and wood. Well I have to ask, how did the theater sound ? It sounded horrible. I wanted to adjust it but the NFL season opener had just started so I was voted down. Probably a good thing as earlier I was introduced to Jack Daniels honey whiskey.......weeeeeee! Awesome photos. Congrats on the recognition. A huge theater like that with an RSX-5 system. I bet it they sounded pretty good for their size. Bill Awww good to know what they were. I think they were just way too small for that size room. Plus they were driven by a lower end Onkyo AVR. Honey, I tried the JD honey, it pretty good but not nearly as good as the Wild Turkey Honey. Were wives along on the trip ? Glad you had a good time. beeker
Sweet place! killer vacation and you could smoke anything ha . These kinds of properties have skyrocketed in rental price unless you know somebody or have a long standing deal with a company etc... Going into the smokey mountains in rental chalets(nothing quite the level you went there although very close) 7 years ago was economical its near went up 300% in price in the past approx. 7yrs...and theres so many more than in the 80's and 90's...there everywhere... Still if somebody works on getting a rental these days they can find one with all the goodies for a descent deal... Been some years since I tried one in the big mountains. Sweet trip nice pics! That jd honeys good...i'l have to take a try on that wild turkey honey hmm
ChuckAb3
Great pics. We spend a fair amount of time in the mountains since everything is not only spectacular but close. You can sometimes find deals on a website Vacation Rentals By Owner. And ... the rates are often better when you get away from the ski resorts off of I-70. Less traffic, too. Again, thanks for sharing.
beeker
You can sometimes find deals on a website Vacation Rentals By Owner. And ... the rates are often better when you get away from the ski resorts off of I-70 thanks for the lead. seems like I seen that site and never looked at it avoiding all the other spam sites. its great to meet up with friends or family from all over the place for a week or whatever in these rentals. once its said and done breaks down pretty good with all individuals etc pitching in their share unless somebodies pulling in some big stock shares or what have you and pays the tab. just my fiancé and I the past year its been fair in price but in the peak seasons its not near what it use to be...not long ago you could get the bomb chalet for $80 per night plus $20 per adult couple kids free...now its a flat $4-600+ and even up over $1k+ per night even for just a couple lol guess ya gotta pay somebodies bills. It wasn't even 10 years ago it was $100 tops per night for a couple...nice to have good leads. cheers

Moderators dtel Posted September 8, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 8, 2014 You can sometimes find deals on a website Vacation Rentals By Owner. We do the same thing on the East coast, a house is cheaper than a hotel and usually in great locations.

rummy
We just got back from Central City Colorado last week. Spent 8 days in the RV at 9k. Must be getting old, never got used to the altitude. Had to use heaters every night, a nice break from 100 degrees in Dallas right now. Getting used to Denver, the driving is as bad as Dallas, the food is what it is, the people are football crazy, reminds me of 20 years ago. Denver is currently a very unique place. The gas cost $800 to and from, the trailer park was sub $400, cant wait till next spring.
