Frzninvt
I would love to have that sub, that is a killer price. They play clean and low. You feel them more than you hear them.
mattSER
I just found out that this sub is 18yo. Should I be worried about the amp? What should I look for when I go audition?
CECAA850
What should I look for when I go audition? Just if it plays or not. Also, you don't want any pops or hums.
Frzninvt
A high pitched whine means the Servo is kaput. Mine are just as old and they work great. You will know how well it was cared for or not when you see it.
mattSER
I still have not received a reply. I think I may have missed the boat...
Moderators Youthman Posted October 29, 2014 Moderators Share Posted October 29, 2014 Very good possibility at that price. Those deals you go pick up, then figure out if you really want to keep it.
mattSER
Yeah, that's what I did with my $200 RF-82s. I just didn't have the cash this time.
Mystery
Well, the ad is still up today. I just emailed the seller to let him know I'm interested in picking it up on Friday if it's still available. Cross your fingers for me! Good luck! I'd be your competition on the next one. Mystery
well, I just bought my mom a pair of RF-15s last week and scored ANOTHER pair of RF-15s(also cherry) for my roommate today. If this sub is still available by the end of the week, I'll go get it. How has it been up for 5 days already?!? I saw those rf15's as well. Would have grabbed for surrounds if I had space on the side. Edited October 29, 2014 by Mystery

japosey
I would definitely pay $150 for that sub. Look at my signature. I love Velodyne Servo subs.
Moderators Youthman Posted November 6, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 6, 2014 I love Velodyne Servo subs. That's all I owned for most of my audio journey (From CT-100 to F-1500 to HGS15 to dual HGS15 to Klipsch RSW-15 to dual RSW-15). Velodyne makes some great subs as long as the amp doesn't give out.
Jugger
Can anyone comment on how this sub will mix with my RSW-15 or stack up to it on the low end and across the full spectrum? I found another guy selling one for $200 and he will deliver. thanks
Jugger
i found these specs and im not sure if they are real 10 Hz - 97.0 dB 12.5 Hz - 100.2 dB 16 Hz - 97.8 dB 20 Hz - 93.0 dB 25 Hz - 95.0 dB 31.5 Hz - 97.6 dB 40 Hz - 93.4 dB 50 Hz - 88.4 dB 63 Hz - 96.7 dB 80 Hz - 89.7 dB 100 Hz - 83.7 dB 125 Hz - 83.6 dB http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_3_3/v3n3l.html
Moderators Youthman Posted November 16, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 16, 2014 For that price, I'd still say go get it. The RSW15 is a beast of a sub but it will typically cost you 3-4 times what you can buy the F-1800 for.
Moderators Youthman Posted November 16, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 16, 2014 The F1800 will dig deeper than the RSW15 but the RSW15 IMO is the better of the two subs. Cross the F1800 over at 60hz or 40hz and let it handle the really low frequencies
Jugger
Thanks youth. I do love my RSW-15 but the reported specs on the F-1800 would suggest it has the better low end if you beleive those numbers. What is the difference between the F-1800 and the FSR-1800? opusk2k9
Thanks youth. The FSR-1800 is the newer version of the F-1800. I have a F-1500 and a FSR-15, they are basically the same.
Jugger
So far in the first 5 minutes I am very impressed with this sub woofer. I need to play around more with it to be sure but it is out performing my RSW-15 with ease. Ugly as hell to look at but hits hard and digs deep.
