I don't see any purpose in "upgrading" a speaker that one intends to sell unless they are replacing a broken part(s) as there seems to be a variety of upgrade options these days. Perspective buyer may want to go a different route etc. Maybe he took that online course advertised on late-night television titled "you too can be a psychologist in ten easy online lessons" and watched an hour presentation regarding "economics" on youtube and now he thinks he is creating "artificial scarcity" and "increased buyer demand" for an unmodified, original pair by stating, "If for some reason they don't move in a week or so you are screwed as you lost your chance at an unmodified original pair."
