jordan122345
So I found a sub for a decent price locally and I am curious if it will compliment the current setup There is a Klipsch rsw10 locally for I believe $175 Will that sub do any good with my klipsch rf7's,rc7,and rs7's Or should I hold out for a better bigger sub when it pops up Any thoughts would be awesome Also I currently have just a little Yamaha v757 running everything till a good deal pops up on a good amp. Thanks as always Ron
The History Kid
For $175...I'd get it anyway...especially if it's in good shape. I'd love to have one of them myself. The RSW-10 may be enough for you, but if it isn't, you'd be able to at least turn a profit on it.
jordan122345
I need to take another look at it but I think it is a little rough if I remember right I am waiting for a rsw12 or rsw15 to pop up locally
K5SS
I had a RSW-10 and it is a stout little sub but I am not sure if it will keep up with the RF-7's. I'd probably hold out for a RSW-12 or better yet, the 15. The new Reference 15 is also making some waves.
jordan122345
I have seen a few awesome reviews on the new r115w could be interesting
willland
There is a Klipsch rsw10 locally for I believe $175 Will that sub do any good with my klipsch rf7's,rc7,and rs7's For music in a smaller room, it will perform just fine. If you want earth shaking impact for HT, look elsewhere. For that price, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Great for a second system or complement a larger sub in your main rig. I ran my RSW-10d with my RF-63 main rig for over six years even when I started adding more and larger subs. I just recently moved it in with my RB-75's and it is the perfect pairing with with them in my living room. jordan122345
I will go take a look today at it and see what happens it will be used for 70% movies and 30% music Edited February 24, 2015 by jordan122345
Klipschsonian
It will do pretty good, If you could find 1 or 2 more would be great if your space will allow it.
derrickdj1
How big is your room and will it be use for HT? Remember the RF 7 has two 10 in woofers. Big speaker do well with bigger subs.
Moderators Youthman Posted February 24, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 24, 2015 I don't think the RSW-10 would add too much if paired with RF-7's. I'm a fan of 15" subs. Once I moved up to 15", I've never looked back. This Thursday, I'm flying up to visit with Wakejunkie and have a feeling once I hear & "experience" his dual 18" IB subs, I might be moving up to 18" myself. LOL As Bill mentioned, if you are looking to really feel it for HT, you have to have a sub that moves a lot of air (larger surface area or multiple subs). That's just physics. K5SS
Quad 18's should keep up nicely with those RF-7's.

K5SS
It would likely smoke the RSW-10. Also look into SVS, Reaction Audio and PSA
