BigStewMan
Got the chance to check out a Taylor M522 Grand Concert acoustic guitar today. All tropical Mahogany and stain was a glossy, medium brown. It was very beautiful, sounded great, and played well. Somebody go buy one, hate it, and sell it to me for a cheap price. (actually the price isn’t bad…not 100% sure; but, i think it is in the $2K range). Edited July 18, 2015 by BigStewMan

Ceptorman
Tropical mahogany with a relief route… sounds exquisite. Would a better guitar help my playing ability? I keep buying them thinking I'll get better, but no luck yet

tnr
I wish I could play better so I could justify buying more guitars. I have a Tacoma acoustic I bought in '96, which was a splurge for me at $700. My rationale was buy a nice guitar and I will play more...bite the bullet from the get-go. Well, it didn't work. I have a Fender Strat and that is it. I have wanted a cherry sunburst Les Paul or Epiphone, but until my playing improves, and I deserve it, I won't buy another guitar. I'm on the musiczoo's email list because I enjoy seeing all those beautiful guitars. Other guitar lovers may like it as well, so here is the link. http://www.themusiczoo.com/

Ceptorman
Anybody ever check out any PRS guitars? They seem like a good guitar for the money, and they have great reviews.

Carlos Santana & Mark Tremonti play PRS. My brother's brother-in-law has one, and he loves it. I will check them out in the future.

Played one earlier today actually. The SE Alex Liveston acoustic that they came out with…not bad actually--decent sound and was comfortable, and really had a nice look to it. I have always liked PRS--wish they would change the look of the headstock; but, that is how to identify them. I like the S2 and SE.

tnr
Another one that i really like is MusicMan. That's because Nancy Wilson plays one. Did you hear Ann Wilson announced a solo tour? I know you are seeing the Wilson sisters this summer, is that next month?

I know you are seeing the Wilson sisters this summer, is that next month? i wasn’t aware that Nancy played that; but, i can’t blame her--they are good. I know Albert Lee plays one. Yes, i heard Ann was touring solo…not sure if she coming to Los Angeles--I’ll have to check. I will see them next month…may see them twice this year. But, the other one is out of town and i’ve spent a ton of money lately…not counting living expenses jumped an additional $300 per month…and oh yeah, i’m paying $4.17 for a gallon of gas….but, i won’t spoil this evening whining about how expensive this summer has been for me.
