Billy Cobham would not play for them  ( I wouldn't think).

He'd rather play with George Duke, live in Europe             0017.gif                      3.gif                  36.gif

Gary in my post is just a local dude who's been playing for prolly 50 years.  He's just a good friend and the leader of the pack.  They're all pushing 60 and have been playing together since they were kids.  Every cover of everything they do is great.  No improv just the original song the way it was recorded.  They do run doin their thang once in a while though.  All the guys that are there are the same way.  The others play in other central Ohio groups.  The bass man played around for a while in Foghat.  They rythmn dude also plays keyboards.  His son plays the drums.  Gary is just a mailman getting ready to retire.  The real treat is when this dude who used to play drums w/Black Label Society & Zakk Wylde shows up.  He worked their tours and sat in at times.  That dude can git it.  He just flops down and makes a cheap kit sound great.  He NEVER misses.  Twice I've thought he was gonna miss but both times he nailed it.  He looks at me and we both laff.  He's a tease!  lol  When Gary retires I'm sure they'll all get together and play more.  Just a nice time with like minded people.  Typical bar out front w/some tables & shuffleboard then they have a big back room w/a bar and tables and chairs.  It's laid back and just lots of good people.

King Crimson will be playing one tour this year in the USA and Canada during June and July 2020. Except for shows such as the Ottawa Blues Festival, all the dates will be double bills with the Zappa Band. We will be offering Royal Packages at all the concerts except for the festival appearances. These will be going live soon. 1000 Club members will be able to use the pre-sale codes they were given for the Wolf Trap concert.

Since King Crimson's return to live performance in 2014, with critically acclaimed sell-out shows all over the world their three-hour shows regularly include material from twelve of their thirteen studio albums, including many of the songs from their seminal 1969 album In The Court of the Crimson King, described by Pete Townshend, as an “uncanny masterpiece”. The new 7-piece line-up plays many historic pieces that Crimson has never played live, as well as new arrangements of Crimson classics – “the music is new whenever it was written”. There are also new instrumentals and songs, as well as the compositions by the three drummers, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, and Jeremy Stacey, which are a regular highlight. A unique show, where seven of the best musicians in the world play music without distraction or adornment.

Tony Levin says, "It’s great to be going back to outdoor venues, some of them the ‘sheds’ we played in the 1980s. And we’ll be travelling by tour bus, old school! As for what pieces we’ll play, that hasn’t been decided yet, but will likely be a wide selection from the 50 years of Crimson repertoire. With 7 players on stage, we can cover it all.”

King Crimson is: Pat Mastelotto, Jeremy Stacey, Gavin Harrison, Mel Collins, Tony Levin, Jakko Jakszyk and Robert Fripp.

Tour dates:

I enjoyed my decade there for the most part. St.Augustine....... there in`98 when the big fire started. 105 in the shade that month or two. The elastomeric was drying as soon as I sprayed it on the stucco before the guys backrolling could even get to it three seconds later. We all saw the wisp of smoke on the west side of 95 in the palmettos get bigger for almost four days then we started hearing about it on the news, the radio everywhere.
