joessportster
Looking to get some test tones in an effort to balance sound. My thinking use test tones to play a freq. measure that freq. spl in my room, adjust the built in parametric EQ in my music player and hopefully end up with a close to flat response. Does anyone know of a CD or File I could get for said tones ? I have a couple Chesky discs but they dont offer a big selection of tones they skip from 250 to 500 then to 1250, 2500, 5000 etc... Anyone ?
pbphoto
Just go to iTunes and search for Audio Test Tones. There is a CD with the same name from Audiolab. The 30 second samples might be all you need...

Schu
Test tones or frequency sweeps?
joessportster
Individual tones, Not sure how one would measure a sweep to adjust a peak or valley with a parametric EQ..............I have a hard enough time trying to measure tones when they only play for 10 - 20 seconds and they tell me the exact tone. Shiva
Well, here are some free downloadable test tones from Realtraps. They are in 1hz increments, though mainly for bass frequencies. http://realtraps.com/test-cd.htm

Thaddeus Smith
I grabbed a copy of the Sheffield Lab "My Disc" A2TB Test CD ages ago and it's always served me well. https://www.amazon.com/Sheffield-A2TB-Test-Disc-My/dp/B000V93NKY
