Daniel Hernandez
Hey guys! So to make it short I work in residential painting/remodeling and these were left behind in a home we were working in and I was told to throw them away so I loaded them in my truck and brought them home. I know nothing about sound systems and after quick Google searches I saw theyre worth decent money. What would be the best way to test them and what would be a fair price for them? I have no use for them so I want to sell them, if I could find an enthusiast id love to sell them for fairly cheap since I saw they go for crazy prices and I got them for free so anything I make off them is good for me. I can always add/send more photos I just took some quick ones so you guys could get an idea of what they are. billybob
Welcome @Daniel HernandezHernandez Which place you are in or near may help you sell. Take photos of all the pairs labels will help, then photos without grill covers if easily removable. Do you know how many pairs? Surprised owner left them behind. Thanks! Im near the Houston, TX area and to be completely honest I dont know a thing about them so im unsure if its a full set or multiple. Ill take a few more pictures in a bit because I did check them over and found it easy to remove the covers. One was missing a "Klipsch" badge but I found it taped inside so at least its there. One is kind of rough up top because they had some metal shelving on top of it but that seems to be the worst damage so far.

Madman1
I see the Heresy. Are the others Forte ii?
Madman1
I see the Heresy. Are the others Forte ii? Heresy will sell pretty fast @ 4-500, you can try more but might sit on them a while. Forte ii should sell fast for 800 ish but can definitely bring more, again it’s all about how long you want to sit on them. Prices went bonkers during the lockdowns and free money times, but Market seems to be a little slow right now, but local has effect on that too. The picture of the label shows you've got at least one oiled walnut Heresy 1 from 1973 (L = 1973). Can you post pics of the labels of all of the speakers and some better shots of the cabinets to assess the condition. Oiled walnut is the most desirable finish on speakers from this age and go for more than oak or raw birch. I sold my oiled walnut Heresy 1s for $750 (probably could have gotten $800 when I sold them, but the market has cooled a bit). They were in excellent condition and had updated capacitors. Price does vary by region.

Please let me know if im correct in how I seperated them or if they are meant to be used as a whole set. If youre estimating ~$1800ish would you think they'd sell for $1000 for all of them? Like I said I got them for free so im not looking for the highest possible dollar, id rather an enthusiast buy them for cheaper than normal and re-sell, refurbish, or recycle them instead of going to a landfill. Also it limits me to how many images in one comment so im gonna make 3 seperate replies to show what I have in hopes you can help me label them correctly for advertising. If you put them for $1,000 for all three pairs you’d probably sell them in less than five minutes. Even at $1,500 they’d be a bargain.

Like I said I want to find a price point where I can get some holiday money but also give someone on here a deal. From how people seem to be reacting its crazy these were going to get trashed.
