RLink
Stopped during Covid and yet to return. Will this change in the near future, I had always wanted to attend one of these and now being retired, I can. Hope they come back!!
wuzzzer
I think the PWK birthday bash is the new pilgrimage.
babadono
I think @wuzzzer is correct. And my question is what social events occur? Pilgrimages used to be a blast.
Thaddeus Smith
The party component became a logistics nightmare at scale. I'd recommend finding regionally located Klipsch-heads and just roll your own gathering. Build some friendships and keep it organic.

IMHO, Covid has nothing to do with why the Pilgrimages came to an end. Evidence shows the real reasons for the departure of 99% of the forum members and very few people attending the PWK BB. 2
sunflower36002
It's understandable to miss events during Covid. With things improving, there's hope for their return soon! Keep an eye out, attending one post-retirement sounds like a great plan!

In our heyday there were a lot of us conversing in the forum about ALOT before there was social media so we enjoyed meeting up with each other...By 2016 considerable things had changed including us not conversing every day on non-hobby issues in the Forum. My take? It all started as @babadono suggested and lookin at the attendance mentioned, it appears most of us now are now content hangin' online and it's more like a generational thing which has limited appeal. In particular, mostly old-school Heritage owners actually want to make the "Pilgrimage" and not very many folks just purchasing speakers. I am not sure if you're catching on to bantering between Michael and Eric. They are a part of a small group who have audio gatherings. I don't know the head count for the Pilgrimage in 2018 or 2019, but it was only getting larger yearly. After the Covid lockdown was lifted, everyone was ready to get out and that would have been a record-setting attendance, if there wasn't the squabble that resulted in the departure of so many members.

A couple decades ago when the Klipsch Forums started many of us also got together in local gatherings and it became the community fabric along with the Pilgrimages. Thaddeus Smith
Turns out, it continues to be the most effective way to maintain the IRL relationships. Once you surpass 25 people or so it just becomes untenable. My memory is foggy, but I think we were in the 100-150 range during the last Pilgrimage era. Corporate funding, while helpful, also came with boundaries and conditions that ultimately made it feel inauthentic and empty compared to the smaller grassroots gatherings. Well, okay he didn't and your replying to what I said is either ignoring or an attempt to adulterate what I typed. FYI, we are still getting together in smaller groups. BUT, one get-together is, also, one of the bales of straw on the camel's back that has gotten us here: so many members departed. Forum members being put in the forum jail for correcting misinformation from our double 0 special agent, planning the SWAG, mentioning Bob C's name (one that I have been placed in the forum jail for spelling his full name), and being condemned for using mid bracing in LaScala and such despotism has jilted loyal members and this is the results: no Pilgrimage, low attendance to the classes and PWK BB. Here, reread what I said. On 3/12/2024 at 7:00 AM, Woofers and Tweeters said: IMHO, Covid has nothing to do with why the Pilgrimages came to an end. To be transparent, I have no solutions to how to make this forum a great place again, less cacti and more tropical again for the ones who made it a great place. IDK, maybe removing the Moderated Postes punishment that was imposed on the one who did not agree with 00; the ability to mention Bob C without punishment; and some sort of other olive branch that helps, rather than hurts.
