Marvel
26 minutes ago, NickC said: Is that a good thing or are there better options lower power? The JJ2A3 is rated for a higher pate dissipation (40 watts). I never tried them in my 2A3 amps and they were only designed for the original voltage 2A3 tubes. I had some Sovtek, but really liked the EH2A3 gold grid 2A3s. Not too expensive and they sounded good. I powered my Heresy IIs and La Scalas with the EH and they were fine for me. YMMV. https://tubedepot.com/products/jj-2a3-40-watt-power-vacuum-tube https://tubedepot.com/products/electro-harmonix-2a3-eh-gold-power-vacuum-tube

I also have a pair of Zu Audio DW2 which are 16ohm and 95-97db?
Marvel
I never had an amp to try a 45 so I'm no help there.
