Wife
I'm sure they sound lovely but these monsters of my husband's must go! I have the serial number off the back but need some details to put in the ad to sell them...can anyone help? LSBR SN#155896 K-55V on the round thingy. Is there anyway to know if they still work? Thanks
jt1stcav
Need help? Sell them here on this Forum, for starters. You'll certainly find a buyer here (if the price is right). 1998(?) Klipsch La Scala (in unfinished birch), selling because of WAF...FREE to a good home!
edster00
Take a closer look at the serial #s...is the 2nd "5" actually an "S"? If so that would make them 1978 LaScalas. LSBR stands for LaScala Birch Raw. Do you have photos of the speakers? The big question is...does your husband agree with the sale??
Audio Flynn
Selling your significant others audio equipment could be a real divorce facilitator. Be careful! Where do you live? They should be tested before listing for sale. If a component in the speaker is bad that should be stated in the description. This forum would insure you get a considerate buyer if they have a couple of hundred posts. Value could be $ 800-1200 depending on the condition of the cabinet. Less if they have a functional problem.
Wife
The LaScala have been at my brother-in-law's for at least the last 12 years(his wife wants them moved) and he says they do work. We don't own a stereo that would be compatible. Neither of us are crazy about selling them but we don't have the equipment to power them or the room to hold them. We are in Northwest Michigan so I don't even know if someone could ship them to a prospective buyer. I thought they might be about the late 70's. The birch is in good condition but the tops do have some water stains, etc. I'll get some photos and put them on tomorrow.

Michael Greenway
Anyone remember the poster Klipsch made advertising the LaScala. It went sort of like this 1 watt and the lights in the house were on. At 10 watts the whole neighborhood had the lights on! You have plenty of power!!!
