mbajner
I just noticed heritage wallpaper on the Klipsch site. liked the transparent Klipschorns. looks like they are real. so, we are they? that would be a nice pair to have. also, the transparent view really shows the bass horn clearly. wrench_peddler
What amp is that in the case on the back wall?
LarryC
I wonder if there's some significance to Klipsch suddenly showing a lot more about Heritage on its home page? I also like the blue color scheme better than the previous fires-of-hell bent. It would be nice to think that a seismic shift in Klipsch marketing might be under way! Tony Reed
To my eye, the Klipsch image looks like one Klipschorn with a "mirror" effect. Does anyone else see this? Tony
LarryC
Are you seeing that the top half of the bass bin mirrors the bottom half? The top half is like the bottom half was turned upside down (and vice versa). Or something else? Larry
Tony Reed
If you split the screen vertically, one side looks like a mirror image of the other side. Tony
LarryC
True -- I hadn't seen that before. A neat visual.
Parrot
Awesome photo, Tony. Thanks for sharing it. Don't look now, Q-Man, but you about to graduate (?) to No Life status.
3dzapper
To me the amps look like a Scott and a Pilot but I have been known to be wrong in the past. Rick
T_Shomaker
I think the amp on top is a Scott
mungkiman
For lack of a better word, the "bifurcator" looks pyramidal, rather than prismatic as I had imagined. Can anyone speak as to the construction date of this Klipschorn? Thanks for a great pic!!
WMcD
Some observations. That is the Klipsch Museum in the old telephone building. Look at the polycylindrical diffuser on the wall. That is a K-5 with the rotating baffle on the display case, meant to be part of an organ tremellow (sp?) unit. The bifurcator is probably a prism shape, we're just seeing the edge. There is something of interest in the constuction. The rectangular pieces which are called the "B" pieces in the SpeakerLab constructions are notched. This means the top and bottom wedges do form part of the back chamber. This may be something which was used for a time, and then reversed. At least the SpeakerLab plans might, MIGHT, have reversed this. Whether it followed a change at the Klipsch factory I can't say. Sandals with red socks? sheltie dave
The bottom gold box looks like it might be a McIntosh C-8s preamp. That plexi Khorn is the tops!

Daddy Dee
Tony, Thanks for the pic. This helps me understand it better than the ones posted on Klipsch.com. Does anyone know if these are on display in Indy?
Marvel
Tony, I think you got the mirror effect correctly. I think they only have one of the transparent KHorns, and the image has been copied and flipped to show a pair of them. I took one side and flipped it, layed it over the other side and changed the transparency. It lines up perfectly. Photoshop is so cool!
