I would basically be starting all over with a Heritage line which would involve selling all my Reference speakers, rebuilding around the Heritage line and calling a divorce attorney. I don't have the room (or resources) right now to buy them and keep them for a later date although I would absolutely love to. They look fiiiiine. Frzninvt
There are a number of members in Chicago, but my guess would be Smilin'?

Tom Mobley
That's a nice buy for Gil. Those things are cheap at $1800.
Born2RockU
You got it. Mr.Gil McDermott is the man ! It has been a pleasure working w/ him. He has been incredibly patient with me. I even went to Europe between the whole transaction . The speakers have actually been at the Chicago terminal since Monday, but they just can't seem to get the truck workin' to get them delivered. Gil emailed me today stating he feels they will be delivered tomorrow !!! I am so excited for him. Hopefully he will post some pictures of the packaging ! I wish i was there to see his face, when he sees that these look as if they came straight out the factory ! Flawless MINT condition ! colterphoto1
Great thread guys. Between the international greetings, nearby 'almost' buyer, and the indefatigueable Mr. Gil McD winning the transaction- SMILES ALL ROUND! I too, would love to see them uncrated, but it would have been at MY HOUSE! How do I keep missing out on these things? Michael

3dzapper
Gil, Did Craig at least throw in a free CD? Rick
WMcD
In retrospect, I too was wondering whether there would be one of his CDs in the box. My neighboors love drum solos. The units were supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. When I didn't get a call by 5 p.m. I called the shipping company. They said the truck's door was damaged, it had to go back to headquarters and they'd attempt delivery again on Friday (tomorrow). I cringed a bit about the damage to the door. I hope the truck was not in an accident. Nah, probably just jammed or something. Rats, it's supposed to snow Friday. Best, Gil
Born2RockU
Mr. William F. Gil McDermott : I didn't know ya wanted a Big Left Turn, "Dreamship" cd. I will send one right out. I am prayin' for "light" snow today... ...so your "baby twins" can finally make it home into your warm apartment !!!
