Piranha
Especially if you're swimming in beers, right?
greg928gts
I just booked a 2 bedroom suite at the Comfort Inn Pyramids for $72 a night. They said they had 1 bedroom suites available too. They also said they still had standard double rooms blocked out for the Klipsch froots. I don't understand where spaaz got his information, or why Craig paid $99 a night. I hope I booked the right hotel. They knew about the Klipsch specials of $52 and $72 a night, so I assume I booked the right place. j-malotky
OK, I just called 5 mins ago, and the comfort inn took my reservation. 1 king bed at $52 a night. Even saw that I was there last year. I asked about running out of rooms and they said there were some left????? JM
Moderators Amy Posted April 20, 2005 Author Moderators Share Posted April 20, 2005 I think they are completely clueless! They told us yesterday that none of the rooms in our block were reserved yet. I think it depends on who you ask. If you don't like the answer, call them back during the next person's shift!!! And where ever you book the room, make sure you ask for the special Klipsch rate. Moderators Amy Posted April 20, 2005 Author Moderators Share Posted April 20, 2005 And we had our first planning meeting this morning.... we think you're going to like it!!!!
J.4knee
I booked at HI and they extended me the "Klipsch" rate for Thrusday night as well. My wife has family in Indy and we are coming in a day early.
Moderators Amy Posted April 20, 2005 Author Moderators Share Posted April 20, 2005 That was nice. The HI is definitely nicer. Did you pick a restaurant yet?

greg928gts
Did I misunderstand? I thought the Comfort Inn was where the Friday night get together was. Sounded to me like the Comfort Inn was more convenient. I don't plan on spending a lot of time there anyway! Greg

At the past, I would bet I have spent a total of 8-9 hours in my room for both nights, so I figure I might as well save some $$$$$ to spend elsewhere JM
gonzp
Got my 2 nights at the HI signed sealed and delivered.

Piranha
If memory serves me correctly it's a short walk to the Comfort Inn. It's not exactly right across the street. At least as far as LA block standards go. + HI is closer to the HQ. Amy, Trey, am I off base? If so I stand corrected.
greg928gts
I guess I'll have to get a rental car now to get to the HQ. Greg
Woodog
I just got my reservation at the Comfort Inn. No problem. Forrest
Moderators Amy Posted April 21, 2005 Author Moderators Share Posted April 21, 2005 You don't need a car, unless there is a torrential downpour. They are very very close.

Joe Shmoe
OK... so really, how is the Comfort in? I definitely like the price, but I really don't want to be sleeping in a **EHEM**
Piranha
IMO, the Comfort Inn sucks. Not to mention the mixer is at the Holiday Inn.
