Willie Nelson LPs?

Somebody asked if I had any a while back but I can't remember who. I have at least 4, maybe more if I hunt a bit. If they've been played, you'd never know by looking at them. One's a double LP.

Let me know if you still want them, whoever you are.4.gif

Gary, I am interested in them, but I don't think we discussed them. If the original inquirer don't mosey on up pretty dang soon, he'll be losing his place in line.2.gif

Say, how did a dead head get Willie? Y'all musta been drinkin' a bit more than ya shoulda . . . . or maybe ya got them last father's day????

A Willie Nelson autograph is not worht anything, any roady for Willie will tell you. That man stands out in front of his tour bus kissing women, shaking hands, and signing anything you put in front of him for a minimum of two hours after every show. I saw him with a friend of mine about seven years ago in Cape Cod and was amazed at the personality of the man. His presence is large and peaceful a true star. The show was absolutely amazing if he is ever playing I reccomend seeing him.

Willie is a treasure - a true troubadour! I have seen him live many times. One show that sticks out was at Harrahs Casino in Reno. His band that night included Merle Haggard on guitar and Leon Russell on keyboard. In his matter of fact way, Willie just introduced them as part of the band intros near the end of the 2-hour show.

His latest, It will always beon Lost Highway is available on vinyl and there are a number of very cool cuts including duets with Lucinda Williams and Norah Jones. The cover photo alone is worth the purchase price.

one of our families last adventure before Dad passed away was a trip to our State Fair to see Willie and Family live. Great show, very close to the stage, and it was so trippy being like 22 and enjoying the same music as my folks. That concert will always live in my memory. Thanks Willie- you are truly and American Treasure.

(sorry for being so mushy today guys, Father's day does that to ya after the old man is gone)

As long as you guys are talking LP's ....

I have about 6ft of them, stacked on their edge. I will bring them to the mixer if anyone wants to dig through them.

I have anything from Floyd Cramer to Boots Randolf, Country to Clasical, Rock to Movie Soundtracks.

I would guess about 300 or so.

Most are in "rough" shape. Some are like new.

ALL HAVE BAD COVERS.

They got damp somewhere along the way.

Willie is my hero too. Yes I have 'The Red headed stranger' signed plus his autobiography signed. Maybe his sigs aren't worth much in money, but it does mean a lot he takes time for his fans to do his autographs. He has visited Amsterdam almost every year now and I went to see him every time. I heard he underwent surgery on his hand. I hope he recovers and comes over again. There is even a dvd out in Holland from a concert I was at, simply called 'live in Amsterdam'. May he be soon On the road again!!! Tim.

I didnt bring up that fact to denote the value of his autograph, I said that because while I was waiting for my friend to get back in line so she could get another kiss, I was shooting the s**t with a coupple of his roadys, and they were telling me about what a fan based guy he is. and the two hours or so after every show.

The great thing about his shows is theres alot of older couples there and they end up leaving early. So three quarters through the show you got front row.

I shook his hand as he was coming off stage one time. steel blue eyes and presence, I will never forget the presence of that handshake.

Parrot.

The Martin Guitar Company has tried time and again to get Willie's guitar in its shop for a complete rebuild but so far, Willie has flat out refused - he likes it just as it is. Maybe it'll finally fall apart and Willie will relent - that or just bury the poor bast@#d!

Speaking of autographs - I picked up a Dean Martin record the other day and there was a card attached with his signature (I assume its authentic) dated June 30th, 1964. Interestingly enough, the flip-side of the card is a "request" form from the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas. It featured Sonny King with Vido Musso - you should see the picture (they sound like very nice italian boys - what would they be doing in Vegas in '64?). Apparently the holder of the card could fill out their name, hometown and the song they wanted to hear and Sonny & Vito would do their best... or FUGITABOUDIT!

Since the only thing I usually find in records is pot seeds and various bits of drug paraphernalia, this was a pleasant surprise.

Have fun -Bryan

I found 2 autographed LPs in a stack a while back although the names escape me (which is why they were at a thrift shop!). One was the worlds greatest ukelele player who Fini looked up to find had just passed away. I was going to give it away but it's probably worth millions now.
