Deang
Everyone picked speaker A because it was at least 3dB louder than speaker B. Regardless, I picked 'B' because 'A' sounded just like what one would except a speaker behind a curtain to sound like.
Q-Man
Back in June when I replyed to this topic, I didn't say it , but I thought A was a new Klipschorn and B was an RF-7. Wow! A new Cornwall. I think that should show you guys that Klipsch does listen to you.
spaaaz
I picked B as well,it sounded more lifelike, bigger, more open and the vocals were the right height and not as chesty.

TheEAR
A is the clear choice, not even open for debate. When it sounds live, real this is it.When it shounds like Hi-Fi ir artificial...belongs in a mass market store. Any quality system(speakers)should sound as natural as possible not like gear. A or nothing

colterphoto1
I built the Colter Comparator with DrWho a couple weeks ago if there is any regulars who would like to conduct their own A/B tests. Basically, It's a Niles speaker selector boxe that has volume controls for each of the six channels. You preset so the volumes are identical with your db meter, then have pushbuttons to switch speakers. We just built it for one channel and put a speaker cable bundle for all six channels and banana plugs for ease of use. Everything is color coded for ease of use. I'm done with my fun testing, so if anyone would like to borrow this, just PM me and we'll see about shipping it to you. Michael
