Timmikid
I stand corrected! Like a Hurricane, I'll be more precise. Nice game! BTW, I haven't read all the pages before, so I hope I won't put a double down. "I-I bet I know what she's like. And I can feel how right she'd be for me." Name that tune! edit: Just got in the game and I am backreading the rules. This is again not really classic rock, so I will be quicker with hints to get it over with: additional lyrics: "It's weird, how she comes in so strong. And I wonder what she's picking up from me?" More hints follow shortly!
Timmikid
Now, put your finger on the trigger, the next hint will reveal everything (I think): first line of lyrics: next post [6]
Timmikid
"I - I love the colorful clothes she wears."

jacksonbart
changing gears, but still classic IMHO "Bella donnas on the high street Her breasts upon the off beat And the stalls are just the side shows Victorianas old clothes And yes her jeans are tight now She gotta travel light now Shes gotta tear up all her roots now She got a turn up on the boots now Yeah she thinks shes tough She aint no english rose"
Timmikid
A guess: Baby makes her blue jeans talk (never really knew the lyrics to that one) No it's not that one, looked Baby makes her blue jeans talk up, that's ok isn't it?
jacksonbart
No, sorry, per the rules it expected that you do check your guesses by title via the internet to prevent any confusion. good luck Hint :The lead british singer/guitar player/writer has a solo career (not very popular). His brother , David was actually part of the band on thier first album, which was self titled (1978). You have heard of this band. The song in question is from thier secon album released in 1979. jacksonbart
Ok another hint, the song is from an album titled Communique Here is some more "He get his money in a tin dish Just a corner serenader Upon a time he could have made her, made her Yeah, she thinks shes tough She aint no english rose Ah, but the blind singer Hes seen enough and he knows Yes and do a song About a long gone irish girl"
Jeff Matthews
No go. With that much of a hint, might as well give it up and post a new one.
rplace
Hmmm, there are only 9 songs on the album. I am gonna guess "Angel of Mercy" by Dire Straights. It is truly a guess. http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/1102454/a/Communique.htm Edit Bzzzzzz, wrong...somebody else take a guess
jacksonbart
Sorry it was Portobello Belle, I will say away from Dire Straits for the next one. Give me one minute Thanks
jacksonbart
Hopefully this will be easier. Been covered many times "It ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe If you don't know by now An' it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe It don't matter, anyhow When your rooster crows at the break of dawn Look out your window and I'll be gone You're the reason I'm trav'lin' on" Hint: Artist was born Robert Allen Zimmerman in Duluth Minn 1941. rplace
R.A.Z sounds to me like Bob Dylan...the lyrics sound familiar, but I can't place them. I will have to give it some thought.

jacksonbart
Hint: Its Dylan Clapton did a blazing cover on Dylan's 30th anniversary concert, also Susan Tedeschi covered recently. I am in a rut obviously, thought it would be easier, I guess I have to stop choosing favorites. You have got to hear Clapton's version though, he gets a lot of crap on this forum, but IMHO its top notch. Here is the last verse minus the title "I'm walkin' down that long, lonesome road, babe Where I'm bound, I can't tell But goodbye's too good a word, gal So I'll just say fare thee well I ain't sayin' you treated me unkind You could have done better but I don't mind You just kinda wasted my precious time" It was first released as part of 'The Freewheelin' 1963 Cheat if you have to, I am going down stairs to make myself a stiff one and listen to some great music in the dark. Enjoy your evening. Sorry Jeff - You might have to rescue me BTW - Please listen to EC's cover, worth it.
Jeff Matthews
Heard the song, but can't place it. Since you authorized and time has flown by, try this: "I am all there is Negative! primitive! limited! I let you live! But I gave you life What else could you do? To do what was right Im perfect! are you?"
