Jeff Matthews
Okay, the wait has been long enough. Next: "There's Marshall Tucker riding a rainbow searching for a pot of gold. Well they can take the highway, baby, and they can take all they can hold. The Outlaws down in Tampa town it's a mighty fine place to be. They got green grass and got high tides and sure looks good to me." Name that Tune!
Jeff Matthews
Hint: This band is singing about its home state in the South. You might say being from that hurricane-magnet of a state, the band was flirtin' with disaster. Orange you glad you now know the band? The tune is a nickname for their state. rplace
When I first read the lyrics I was thinking some southern fried rock band and even put Molly Hatchet as my first choice. However I will never in a million years come up with the title. Do I get partial credit?
colterphoto1
Now I can hear it, that rough voiced souther-fried rock. Definietly Molly Hatchet, so Rich has that right. It names a bunch of bands in their genre, title is something like 'Gator Country'? M

Jeff Matthews
We went through pretty quick. [] I don't remember Lynnard Skynnard singing about catching bream. These lyrics made me look up "Hats Off To Roy Harper." They just sound more "back woods" than conventional rock will allow (with the exception of tribute-like songs). rplace
Buffalo Springfield, I can never remember the name of the song. The title is not what you thik it is sort of like thinking Baba O'Riley is called Teenage Wasteland....but I digress. The chorus goes something like "[8]Stop children whats that sound everyone look what's going down"[8] EDIT: Good one Jeff, looks like you win in the fastest typist contest.
