ben.
I'm a dedicated "assgasket" user in public toilets. Other than that I try not to think about it. I did have some trailer wench try to serve me a burger at Wendy's after having her fat mitt halfway inside her mouth in a charming anecdote about her recent (govt funded) root canal. She seemed shocked and offended when I asked her if she was seriously going to serve me food with that hand. Oh well, another local eatery off the list. No great loss. fini
You know what would be a great product? A sanitizing "bomb" (like those flea bombs) for use in hotel rooms! Drop off your stuff, set off the device, go get a cocktail, and when you return, everything is germ-free!
ben.
Great idea! If only for the placebo effect!

DrWho
The important part of Mark's post was "that does not adversely affect sound quality" Of course I'm not at all surprised at your response. If its indeed so easy and cheap to accomplish building a quality remote controlled VC I suggest you take this great opportunity too design/manufacture this wonder unit.... Like I said...you can just add a motor to an existing potentiometer and it wouldn't change the circuit one bit.
maxg
TV's may be over-rated and primarily junk but there are good things to be found.Reasons to own a TV: Cartoon Network (Junior) Boomerang (Junior) BBC Prime Children's TV (Junior). Animal Planet (Junior and me) Discovery Channel (Me). History Channel (Me). National Geographic Channel (Me). Your choice of news channel (SWMBO and Me). Sports (Me) The odd film on various film channels (SWMBO). I am another one up to my elbows in remotes:Living room:TVVideo (old - but works the TV in emergencies)DVD 2nd DVD (old Denon - still used for the bedroom)Satelitte Bedroom:TVStereo (Aiwa all in one thing with old Sansui speakers)CD player (Marantz)Just dont have any on the main stereo. Funnily enough on the odd ocasion when I listen to a CD/SACD or equivalent I rarely remember to use the remote.
JJkizak
Speaking of remotes, there is a new clorox sanitizing spray out which I haven't tried yet. I wonder if it will work on tubes. JJK
