OK - Stop the presses. I got in the que for Crowns and Rigma asked if I wanted the 75. I declined. Mostly due to confusion and having zero clue about Crowns (or which route to go to get better sound here). So 2 Crowns seem to be avail.

Rigma - Assuming you don't think I'm too much of a nutcase to deal with me.... Can I have a minute to think? LOL

This is a d75A yes?

Woops, I screwed up.. I did not realize I listed the 75 as A.

Chris if that is a problem let me know. The photo was of the actual amp.

Rigma,

How old is the Crown D75?

What type of inputs does it have (XLR or 1/4" or both)?

Duke and Leo K,

What are the differences between the older D75 and the newer D75A?

If they are almost the same, will I be installing new caps, replacing parts, etc any time soon?

Thanks,

Chris

Cuz it's Duke's. He wants it. If he REALLY doesn't want it and is passing the torch to me... Then it might be a different situation. :)

Besides, isn't it like 4000 watts or something? LOL Geez - just when you all have me convinced I don't need alot of watts - then you try to suck me back in.

Meagain- you need watts, you NEED watts, you need WATTS, YOU need watts.....

Todd, that's a good idea, I SHOULD get down there. Of course then you guys would have me ditching my Crowns for tubes. It'd be a very expensive venture for me....

M

You just need a tube pre with about twenty main outs.
