thebes
One I'm liking a lot lately for a quality recording is Gomez, "Bring it On" ,Falls under the alt-rock heading I would think.
jbsl
Marc Broussard Momentary Setback Carencro both recorded very well and are blues rock songs. Kid has a great voice he had a song on the radio last year called "Home"
jbsl
I have Patricia Barber--Modern Cool SACD from Mobile Fidelity and it is a excellent recording! If you are a fan of hers and have a SACD player then I suggest this one. For any Diana Krall fans the DVD Live in Paris is also recorded excellent. I watched this dvd and then compared same songs to the cds and the DVD is much better quality sound. There are very few live cds or DVDs I like they almost all(IMHO) sound terrible and they will show what artist use technology to make up for their lack of talent and which few really have the talent not the technology! Live in Paris is one of the live DVDs I would recomend. You do not have to have surruond to use it either it has a stereo option.
ranjith
I like the recording on Sanata's Supernatural album. A great album too, amazing spanish influence. Santana is one of the best ever when it comes to expression emotions through a guitar, IMO.
