Lascaladan
I would love to own a pair of Jadis Eurythmie. I have also enjoyed, very much, MBLs. Both are stellar in their portrayal of live music(with the proper associated equipment and rooms, acoustics). My LSs are great, do not get me wrong. But I am talking another level, here. Duke Spinner
Soliloquy's flagship speaker, the model 6.5, is superbly built and is excellent value for money. The Soliloquy 6.5, at 53 inches tall, 10 inches wide and 15.5 inches deep, is a big speaker and puts out some serious bass with a -2dB point of 23 Hz... Aaahh but the Catch 22 ... what is the Sensitivity ..??

edwinr
Speaking of sensitivity... if you're in the sun all day, and have fair skin, you need to slip, slap, slop with your sun screen...
edwinr
Continuing the sensitivity theme, the AN-E/Lexus is Audio Note's most efficient design with their largest cabinet (31" x 14" x 10.5", HxWxD) and rated sensitivity of 94dB/W/m. With a frequency response is from 18Hz to 23kHz (-6dB), they appear to not need any band aids like a subwoofer...
edwinr
The Beauhorn Virtuoso houses a 20cm DX4 Lowther driver, which looks after the entire frequency range. This driver isnt seen too often, and costs an awful lot of money. These British built monsters are superb if you don't mind the looks... edwinr
The Edgarhorn Vintage Titan Speakers with Seismic Subwoofer is a three-way horn speaker with a decidedly retro look. Its folded mid-bass horn employs a vintage 12-inch JBL professional woofer, the JBL K-120. A vintage professional JBL 2440 or 2441 compression driver mounted to a 300 Hz round horn produces the mid-to-high frequencies. The sensitivity is around 106 db... edwinr
I like this pic of the Vienna Acoustics Beethoven Concert Grand with five drive-units which are all newly designed by Vienna: a 1.1" hand-coated, silk-dome tweeter (made by ScanSpeak), a 6" X3P-cone midrange driver, and three transparent, 7" XPP Spidercone woofers. While they're all mounted on the same baffle, the midrange is internally isolated in its own chamber (its rear port shares the rear baffle with the larger woofer port). The result is 21" of woofer power that, thanks to being divided among three drivers, promises to be able to move a great deal of air... edwinr
Would anyone put this speaker system in their top 10? Since 2001 Terry Cain has been building single driver of high sensitivity using natural solid woods or natural wood-ply cabinetry with no metal screws, brads or rivets holding the cabinet together... I wonder what they sound like?

I now present to all who desire 'impact', the new Altec Lansing A7. The original 'Voice of the Theatre' has returned in all it's technicolor glory and widescreen splendor. Handbuilt of 13 layer baltic birch ply, the A7 can be yours for a mere $6,000 each. Enjoy...
