Champagne taste beer budget
moderator, please close thread. If you hadn't blown out of Indy, I'd come over there and Kick Your A$$. You give up on a thread because you're not in town to monitor it? You don't think there people out there that are watching? Have fun with the weddings, but don't you dare give up on your girl just cause you're not there. I'll come down there to kick you a$$ when you get back if you do. I, personally, still have the greatest of hopes. Sh'e been seen local. She hasn't strayed from local for 2 weeks, or close to it? She's around, time will tell. Get your mind back in the right place. colterphoto1
Not totally giving up on her. Just that I had to say 'goodbye' to the problem for a bit. I can't do much from here and I'm supposed to be getting to know these good Dtel folks so I can photograph them all. And it's my last time away from home for a while as the new gig starts when I get back. Rest assured I'll keep up the search when I get home, I just couldn't carry it down here with me. Something about 'staying i the moment'. But thanks for the reminder. Peace, Michael
colterphoto1
The girl watching my home, Roger (Indy) and other friends hung around the neighbohood and looked for her while I was in New Orleans. No sightings. I don't feel very good about her chances of making it home. Thanks for all the postive vibes and support. Michael
PhilMays
Michael, I would bet my bottom dollar she is being well taken care of. I bet some little girl or lonly old lady has her all cuddled up. She's fine! Phil
mark1101
I'd get a picture and contact info to the local shelter so if she shows up they'll know to contact you. Then, you shouldn't have to keep checking. It would be ashamed if she showed up at the shelter and noone claimed her.
Champagne taste beer budget
I agree with Phil, I'm sure she's all nice and cozy and someone is thinking they have the best Christmas Kitty ever. That said, I'm still holding out hope she finds her way home.
colterphoto1
Who would be so cruel to take in a mature, well-taken care of cat, and KEEP IT? Everyone in the neighborhood knows she is missing. I don't see any way she could have gotten outside of the area where I posted numerous flyers and stuffed mailboxes. meagain
Colter - it happens. When I was about 7, my parents were moving something into the house and my cat went missing. I was devastated (understatement). (Didn't help that some evil boy at school told me he shot it with a bow & arrow). He was an indoor only cat and beloved. I know for a fact that my parents went balls out trying to find him cuz I saw the ads in the paper and helped put up flyers, etc. Around 3 months or so later, we got the cat back. Was living in a home not far away. I suppose they kept it because it was a Siamese, but..... My friends also had a similar experience with their outdoor cat. A neighbor befriended it, fed it, etc. for about a month. It was just happenstance that they ran into each other (block party or something). It might have been a case of a child saying "can we keep her?" and the parents either not seeing the flyer, or not doing due dilligence to search for Lost ads in the paper. IMO - Lost ads in the paper are by far the best way to go.
