Bill H.
According to the reviews from circa 1987- no toe in is required. Place them about 6-12 inches from the wall (Test it out)..... IF you feel inclined to toe in, only a small amount is needed...... I haven't had too though. I am glad you have gained better sound stage! Enjoy ! r.cherry
Mine are pointed right at my listening spot. I have too much furniture in the way to point them straight out.
oldtimer
I like looking right down the throats of the horns in the sweet spot (or for a sweet spot).
wuzzzer
Pretty major toe-in here with the horns aiming directly at me. With a blindfold you'd swear I had a center channel!
Cal Blacksmith
Mine sound best about 16" from both walls and turned to see down the throat of the horns. Lifting them up about 12" helped with bringing the horns to ear level and really opened up the mid range but at some expense of the AWESOME bass that Fort's have. Start moving yours around a little, you will be amazed at what only a few inches of movement will do.
jacksonbart
toe in and pull them off the back of the wall. Check out http://www.rivesaudio.com/resources/links/frame.html.
jcmusic
I have mine toed in a little to the point where, when I am sitting in the listening position they are pointing to each of my shoulders. The imagining is better there than straight forward. Jay
Seadog
Looks like there is already a toe in that photo []. I would toe in the speakers, and experiment by tweeking the placement in the corners.

stormin
My Fortes are now in their final resting place and they have disappeared! Well almost. They are a little closer to the back wall and just toed in slightly more. The speakers have almost completely disappeared when playing. It is great to listen and have the music more or less floating between and around the speaker locations without a relatively discernable sound source. The overall sound reproduced with this system is as satisifying as I've ever experienced and I've been on and off the equipment/placement merry-go-round more than a few times. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. Thats whats its all about. Glad you've been able to find enjoyment with your system. Enjoy! I too am one who finds corner reinforcement to be a necessity with rear passive radiators.
