There is only really one day I was a little unruly but it was a Saturday and it was in the afternoon. I was working in the yard and wanted to listen to Captain Beefhearts Magic Band.  I turned it up just enough to hear it outside. I doubt that was the case as I live behind 3 bars off of Main St and they are LOUD....... I need an SPL meter!!!!! I love The Magic Band and so should my neighbors : )

Captain Beefheart! Man you don't know how long it has been since I have heard anything from them. I think I had an eight track back then. Ooops carbon dating myself again. I guess I'll have to try and find some.

The way they changed beats and time signatures they should be called Time
Lords. The Magic Band has reformed in many configurations of the last couple
years and the one from 2006 featured Gary Lucas : ) The Magic Band released a
live DVD that is superb especially since it is mostly instrumental.
BRILLIANT

I have links to it in this thread http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/thread/909829.aspx
just scroll down a little.

Not sure about the fine print on your ordinance, but in Houston the

levels not to exceed are to be measured by a callibrated SPL A-weighted

(yeah, not C-weighted) from the property line or front street.using the

AVE (not PEAK) setting. Since most of us with SPLs (you do need one)

use the C-weighting this is a great advantage; the level in house can

be quite high and still be in compliance just outside the front door.

One test is all you need to satisfy yourself that you will be OK.

I could do with one of those signs myself - they are building a new appartment block next to us and they start work at 8 am - even at the weekend!

Otherwise - are you sure they are aiming that sign at you? Too funny if they are.....

hah, in my case it helps to be in the middle of two acres of woods. besides, the neighbors dogs and the occasional target practice of hunters is louder than any noise i make. here in the woods of virginia hunting seems to be a major pass-time even off season...

btw, thanks for posting that...lots of fun!!
