I'm really living on the edge tonight... decaf sweetened blackened tea. My pill bottle lables at one time said should not drink alcohol while taking this medication... new meds or was it more changed to do not drink alcohol wihile taking this medication. My doctor rolled his eyes when I asked him if that meant don't swallow this pills with alcohol ... he just chuckled and rolled his eyes. A lawyer friend did the same thing when I asked him.

Good Evening my friends and Greetings from yet again, rainy southern california.

Just got home from dinner: manhatten clam chowder, then a yellowfin tuna steak.

Sipping on a diet coke, since i can't drink beer anymore.

My shoulder is slightly worse, and i'm pretty sure that I'll be getting surgery soon. Had my MRI the other day and meet again with the surgeon on the 17th. Too much fun scheduled for this upcoming week, as I get an endoscopy on thursday. I'll tell you, since i got ran over by that truck, inside of my stomach is literally the only place on my body that hasn't been looked at, poked, or prodded. Not too worried about the procedure as the doctor says i'll be sleeping and won't remember a thing. thinking about hitting an indian casino tomorrow to play some blackjack, considered making a trip to vegas; but, didn't want to fight the crowds on superbowl weekend. after being holed up in the house last week with a cold, i want to get out and do something this weekend. hope all of you are safe & sound & warm. Dodged the snow bullet this weekend. Hunt and I went to the Greensboro gunshow. The place was slammed. Never seen so many guns getting bought. The place was packed- could not walk. Took us 5 hours to se the whole thing. Picked up a bag full of goodies.Spent way too much cash. Picked up a beautiful Win model 23 new in the case- really cool spyderco knife-lots of AR-15 add ons.

VRDs are in route to Craig for a checkup. hope to see them in a week or 2.

A sunny but cold day here. You guys up north would probably call it balmy but its cold to us....remember we all dress in cotton.

My Tarheels....bless their young hearts....are stinking up the court this year. Switched channels it got so bad today against Maryland. A lot of freshmen and a rebuilding year. My take is they don't have a dominant inside man and lack a 3 point shooter. Next year maybe.

Superbowl.....no dog in that fight. May watch some of it.

Had a couple of Basil Hayden neat and rolled the preamp phono tube.....life in the slow lane.

that's a very dangerous offer my friend. i just broke up with my girlfriend, so i could down many beers if i let myself. what a wild roller coaster ride my life has become.

bought myself a new tv this weekend, a 46" LG LCD. I'm kinda disappointed with the picture and am considering taking it back. everytime i tell myself to take it back, i'll change channels and the picture looks great. i know that some stations provide better quality; but, i'm going to give it till friday to decide if overall i like it or not. bought it a best buy, so i'd better check what their return policy is.

Yes the Heels are going through a rebuilding year and will rise again but this season has been painfull.

TH- this is you fault- was in the liquior store last nite- picked mp my usual 1/2 gal of Black jack. I walked by the small batch burbon rack...and this was this lovely bottle of Basil saying "buy me- drink me" 44 dollars later I am sitting here sipping on a nice glass with a little ice and a splash of filtered water.

The wait on the VRDs is killing me- they hit Craigs place tomorrow- on the bench shortly and back to me. Giving the old Mac 2105 a workout because It may be a while before it gets any playing time after the VRDs hit. Can't bear to part with it. Maybe put it in another room or something.

Hang in there on the diet- You can do it- Picked my up my size 40 Hugo Boss suit last night(down from a 44). This is my motivation for keeping it off. I am on month 4. It gets easier as your body adjusts to less food. Today the office sent out to this place that makes huge bagel and roast beef sandwiches. I did not pay any attention to them when they arrived and people were gorging on them all around me. It gets easier.

Good Day Gentlemen--survived my Endoscopy this morning--actually totally painless. took a little nap and woke up in recovery area. Doctor found a few things wrong; but, told me not to worry that they're treatable IF i'll do what he says. a lot of inflammation and some stomach bleeding from the inflammation and moderate erosive gastritis. i would guess that the gastritis is what goes crazy whenever i consume any alcohol. stuck at home for the rest of the day since they said i can't drive for 24-hours (although i feel pretty much normal already). Tomorrow and Monday are holidays for us county workers, so i have a mini-vacation. i hope you all are well.

Really Jacked up today- Quoted a couple of those orders today that will make your entire month/ quarter by themselves. Nervous as a house cat. Will not sleep tonite. My amps show in transit by ups- no signarure yet. Going to Michigan which may have been hit by this *&&***ing snow mess which is really starting to piss me off on several fronts.

Bought a B&K 4420 today on e-bay to run my surround Cornwalls. Been looking for a while- 344.00 + shipping- The suckers are high. My HK 870 died a few months back. Sony amp section just does not cut it when the other stuff is running off B&Ks and big carvrers.My HT setup seems to be very power hungry even with the Heritage speakers- Strange.But when it is cranking- it beats the c--- out of the movie theatre down the road.

Tommorow is Lincoln's Birthday and Monday is President's Day. Orange County (California) still has those holidays as separate days. I need to pay closer attention though, last weekend I spent $1200 without realizing that I was going to have five days in a row off. I live alone and tend to bore myself, so I need cash to keep myself entertained. Considering returning the tv that i just bought and getting my money back--then maybe Vegas.

Steve sounds like your report while not woo hoo is good in that the problems found can be fixed. Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. Too bad your TV didn't work out. It's a pain in the but to get something and then be disappointed and have the hassle of returning it. Good luck in Vegas.

Hoping the snow stays away this weekend as our snow blower is heading to the shop as it's throwing has become quite wimpy or slows to kind of gurgling out.... had thought it a little weak a couple of weeks ago but a lot worse today ... especially after the smell of burning / overheated rubber. [:S] Thought I'd broken a belt or something but everything worked just no real power in tossing the snow.

Thanks for the votes of confidence- Tomorrow will tell the tale- hopefully. Its day to day- I think the bottom is getting ready to fall out then all heck breaks loose- Definitely not a steady flow as I would prefer.

Steve- If you do take the TV back look around on some of the overstock type websites with careful attention to return policies. I have scored some killed deals on NExtag for TVs and such- You have to check daily and be patient

The snow sucks- we can al agree on tha t- hopefull it will clear out by next week.

I am just hanging out drinking black jack worried about work stuff.

Hey all--I'm home watching that tv. was going to return it; but, learned that it will take up to three days for my account to be credited with the money--by then, it's almost payday and the long weekend will be over anyway. the tv isn't bad--in fact, i think the times that i'm disappointed with the quality is either the broadcast or time warner. the picture is excellent on most channels, so if it was a crappy tv, i guess it would be bad on all channels. not a bad day outside. blue skies and sunshine--could be a little warmer; but, not complaining. have a few on me!
