barrynsue
Not sure if you folks have seen this yet but thought I would share the link. Speakers look beautiful and would love to hear them. Not sure about the TT as it looks too much like a tuner/amp/preamp but it will match other new style components http://blog.stereophile.com/cedia2007/ Barry

They list at 15 K a pair. http://www.klipsch.com/news-center/press-releases/details/klipsch-palladium-floorstander-a-symbol-of-supreme-luxury.aspx

Moderators Amy Posted September 7, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 7, 2007 Jim Garrett is going to try to get some pics that he took at IFA posted soon, and I took one today that I will post in my blog shortly... [] And of course we'll have more professional shots to come soon. They are 55.5" high, 12" wide in the front, and 26" deep (approx).
Deang
They are 55.5" high, 12" wide in the front, and 26" deep (approx). I'm 5' 11", I guess the Palladium would stand even with the top of my shoulders if I was standing next to it -- bigger than I thought it was. The depth spec is surprising too -- a couple of inches deeper than the Jubilee.

synthfreek
That Mcintosh turntable has to be the strangest/oddest deck I've ever seen. It looks like someone just plopped a turntable on top of a MC-2105.

It looks like someone just plopped a turntable on top of a MC-2105. Yea, it's pretty ugly. And of course every turntable should have a big blue meter on it's faceplate. Total cheese. Maybe it's just something they were doing for fun and laughs at the show.
barrynsue
Thanks for the info Amy and will check your blog shortly. There has been much discussion (most negative to the McIntosh TT) but I heard that dealers were placing orders! At a 7K price point, I believe there are many competitors that can meet or exceed it although it may sound wonderful! The looks just don't work and what is the meter actually showing? Just my .
picky
They are 55.5" high, 12" wide in the front, and 26" deep (approx). OH NO!! I DO have room for them....if I get rid of my two RF-7s, come up with a way to raise about $13,000 and THEN....somehow convince Verna that we need these! So NEAR, yet so FAR! [:'(] And while I'm at it, I also noticed the new Pioneer Elite Flaship receiver that is due out in January: The new SC-09TX which has 10 channels of Class D power amp with 200 Watts/Channel x 10 (I don't know at what load, hopefully 8 Ohms) a front-mounted LCD Video screen for both menus and previewing video and for only $7,000! Yeah, like we can afford this too! ....more crying..... [:'(] -Glenn
el jopez
Is it me, or is equipment overall becoming a bit more upscaled than in years past? Picky, I feel your pain. The first images of the B&K Ref 707 series has begun to leak to the net, and I wish I could consider upgrades. []
LarryC
They are 55.5" high, 12" wide in the front, and 26" deep (approx).A question I asked earlier -- do they have to be pullied out into the room, or can they go almost against the wall behind them or into corners? Some speakers have to be pulled 3 - 6 feet away from rear and side walls before they'll sound their best in a given room. Larry
Deang
They're rear ported, so figure on needing them pulled out at least 12 to 18 inches. I don't know about these things, but the RF-7's bass response just died if you pulled them too far out.
synthfreek
The VU-looking meter says 0, 33, 45 & 78. I think each number corresponds with the yearly sales for the next 4 years.
Moderators Amy Posted September 7, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 7, 2007 Larry, A response to your question from the lead engineer on the product: They can go closer to the back wall and this will tend to reinforce the bass a bit, but this is very dependent on the room. They are designed not to have a boomy response so there should not be any problems close to the rear walls. Technically the ports are on the side of the cabinet but they face rearward more than to the side. I would call them rear ported.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
