oldenough
Just call into the local thrift store to check on any vinyl they may have..walked out with a cd of Miles Davis "Tribute to Jack Johnson" have to say this is not my usual fare but what a suprise. That has to be the best $1.00 i've spent in a long time. Track one (all 26.52 of it) is downright amazing. just thought i'd pass it along []
InnerTuber
Nice - We find all kinds of LPs at Goodwill, garage, estate sales, etc. Led Zep, Jeff Beck, Stevie Wonder, all kinds of stuff people unload. It takes a while to dig, but we ****** em up if they are in great condition (for playing, don't care about covers much). A buck a record is my max too! Keep hunting. billybob
Who says you can't find something good for a $1.00 I'll be looking for a bargain!

oldtimer
Nice score but hell, even dropping a buck into the salvation army kettle is well spent to me.
oldtimer
Of course they would be upset to know that I used hell and their organization in the same sentence.
fini
I just picked up 3 LPs at Ye Olde Thrifte Shoppe: Rundgren's "Hermit From Mink Hollow" (a favorite of mine), and two Herb Alpert Lps ("Going Places" and "Casino Royale"). The Herb stuff is kind of a trip down memory lane, as my folks used to play that stuff all the time. Kinda hard to find copies that aren't all scratched up. Not nearly as hard as finding decent Peter, Paul and Mary discs. Those folkies were rough on vinyl!
jacksonbart
I just picked up a wrinkled dollar for 97 cents. Sweet.
oldtimer
Just slightly over the t-bill rate. Top Notch!
jacksonbart
It cost me 43 cents in postage though. Dang!

Marvel
Not nearly as hard as finding decent Peter, Paul and Mary discs. Those folkies were rough on vinyl! Too much weed...[:|]
Islander
Picked up The Simpsons Sing the Blues CD for $3 at a music store Boxing Day sale. Homer sounds pretty good doing Born Under a Bad Sign, especially with BB King on lead guitar and Jai Winding on keyboards, along with the Tower of Power horn section...
