nezff
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10239&cs_id=1023902&p_id=2791&seq=1&format=2 http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=100-020 I have no idea where to start. I know I need at least 16 gauge, but I would like to get 14 to be sure. Does it matter what brand or anything else I need to know about what kind to get for this system in my sig? thanks

jamesV
can someone guide me maybe to a website that has good speaker wire that is 14 gauge. Look at your first post, that wire is great. Just order it from Monoprice and be done with it. I have ordered wire and cables from Blue Jeans Cable, http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/speaker/index.htm, before but my next speaker wire will be from Monoprice. Also Blue Jeans only sales 12 and 10 ga. wire. I hope this thread doesn't turn into a mess like the ones in two channel. James
merkin
12 gauge speaker wire from Lowe's, Homedepot or a farm and fleet. I've also seen it local Ace hardware stores. I think the last prices I saw were around 55 to 57 cents per foot. You can buy your own banna plug ends from Parts Express. Stranded copper wire is stranded coper wire. Islander
14 gauge is okay, but 12 gauge is a little better. 12 gauge at $.55 per foot:http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?category=Klear%20Speaker%20Kable Better quality twisted-pair cable in 12 gauge at $.75 per foot:http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?category=Karma%20SS%20Speaker%20Kable

Moderators dtel Posted March 20, 2008 Moderators Share Posted March 20, 2008 Enjoy your wire. Are you being sarcastic? Is this a bad choice? No, I don't think he is, wire is wire for the most part, to me anyway. I use plain #14 stranded, who ever has the best price at the time. To many other things that can make a big difference to worry about wire. Nezff, are you in N.O. or the general area, we are about 30 miles north of Slidell, Picayune, but from Slidell.
