wuzzzer
For the first time ever I'll be seeing the Eagles on concert! I noticed the other day that they are coming to the Target Center in Minneapolis on September 30th. I had said sometime back that if the Eagles were ever in concert again by me I would be attending no matter what. Well, I got tickets this morning just after they went on sale. We're going to be in one of the first rows of the upper section, but I figured $50/ticket was a lot better than the $185/ticket that anything in the lower level was! Anyone else see/seeing them on their Eden tour?
Guest srobak
I noticed when I posted to the concert thread that they were coming to Chitown also... tickets are already set aside Between that and Lindsey Buckingham - this is gonna be a nice fall. Enjoy the Eagles!
Moderators dtel Posted August 11, 2008 Moderators Share Posted August 11, 2008 I was the same way with the HFO tour, I had never seen them and really only liked Joe Walsh enough to go to his concert. My sister gave Christy and myself Eagles tickets as a present, the show was one of the best concerts we have gone to. Should be a good time, who is opening the show ? Arky
Yeah, enjoy. They were in Little Rock a few years ago...forget what tickets cost.
Daddy Dee
Yes. In fact, they are scheduled at Alltel Arena on Sept 16.
Guest srobak
Reading this thread yesterday gave me a sudden urge to pop in the farewell concert on hd-dvd last night... some of the neighbors came by to find out what dvd it was Got a few comments on the Klipsch sound as well. Audible Nectar
I was the same way with the HFO tour, I had never seen them and really only liked Joe Walsh enough to go to his concert. My sister gave Christy and myself Eagles tickets as a present, the show was one of the best concerts we have gone to. I also saw them on the HFO tour in Indianapolis (back when the front of the house was $85 - and $85 was beaucoup bucks for a concert). It exceeded all expectations.....but whenever the Eagles come back around my wife and I comment to each other that we are glad we saw them then, because there's no way we would pay $185 to see them now. The Eagles do what I call "Studio Live" - the live show is performed much like the original CD and album cuts were done, with little artistic "license" beyond that.....so it's hard to get motivated to pay that again to see them a second time. Worth a look for $50 though....especially if you haven't seen them.
colterphoto1
haven't seen a single live show this year....
fenderbender
haven't seen a single live show this year.... Prices for the bands I want to see are out of hand in Florida....some are opting to play at the hard rock casino and seats are $100 and way up ...besides the Venue stinks on ice...... plus I get cranky in crowds and when I'm out past 11:00.....darn I'm getting old...... BigStewMan
Last week I saw Steely Dan--underwhelming. Didn't play Reelin in the years, Do it Again, Rikki Don't Lose that Number, Black Cow But; at least now I can say that I've seen Steely Dan. (that was my only show this year...last summer was Roger Waters--which was incredible!)

That was actually the last show I saw and I agree.....not to great....they are ready to hang it up...........Funny, it's the 3rd time they toured in two years...must be banking on retiring soon?
