New forum search is extremely difficult to find old threads
Chad replied to Youthman's topic in Klipsch Website & Forum Info
I feel everyone's pain, I really do. Unfortunately, the search function in this version of the forum software is widely regarded as horrible. The only thing I can say repeat to everyone is that we've been promised a brand-new search system in version 4.0 of the software. When that comes out, they've not let us know. I'm assuming by sometime this summer as they keep relaying posts about all the other new features (with screenshots). In the meantime, a sub-optimal workaround is going to Google and doing a search like: site:community.klipsch.com rf-7 -
We had to take it down, it was so outdated. We're working on a new one. They are tough to keep up with! also the sitemap page is currently not the most reliable thing currently undergoing some speed optimizations... but as Amy said, we're working on a new Theater locator. Sometime in the near future. Eventually ;-)

For now, I've disabled the relative time display (the posted X minutes ago") feature.

well its pretty much just as i described. the clock is wrong, if i make a post, then when i look at the main forum page where it shows recent activity of all the sub categories, the time it shows that post was made is off terribly. for example, after i make this post, i can go back to that main page in 2 minutes & it will show i made the post 13 minutes ago. or some other incorrect timing. seems to be random & varies in the differences it shows. Thank you. I understand the issue. I just meant I'm interested in hearing if others are having the same problem.

I haven't experienced this phenomenon, but if others are seeing this sort of thing, I'm interested in hearing about it. Thanks

Love the new forum but Search Function is difficult
Chad replied to Youthman's topic in Klipsch Website & Forum Info
I agree the search engine of the forums is wonky and this has been brought up several times. There will eventually be a fix. Hang in there. ;-) -
it's fixed.

Uh... No admin "chewed you out." just sayin'

If you upload something to the gallery here, you can use that same linked gallery image in multiple posts, instead of re-uploading the same thing over and over, taking up all your space. Just a tip.

yes... these go in Alerts.

Amy, help, cant sign in on old account
Chad replied to Cal Blacksmith's topic in Klipsch Website & Forum Info
This is being handled. Got the email and the PM. -
I've already purged thousands of inactive members, just after the forum relaunch. The upload space issue will resolve itself in time. In the meantime, suggesting the use of Photobucket or imgur.com or some other photo sharing site is great as well as optimal.

The search engine in the new forums is something I want to fix soon. It's not optimal at the moment. For some reason, some things just don't come up in search results. It's a problem with the default search engine. There is supposedly a solution, but I've not had a chance to really implement. Hopefully soon I can. Thanks

No, that button is to go into the desktop layout of the forums (rather than the mobile layout) -
Are you talking about the Personal Messenger here? Please see this thread: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/146730-pm-issue/ You can get to the PMs by various other methods listed there, as a workaround. edit: JINX!

I know, right? I guess it could be worse. It could be furry. <shudders>

I am. Even this terrifies me even though it's a robot.

New forum problems with Kindle Fire
Chad replied to Mighty Favog's topic in Klipsch Website & Forum Info
I have no way of testing/troubleshooting this at this time, but thanks for the report. Have you tried other forums on that, to see if it's just this forum?
