  12. Bumps in the road?? The only bumps we have in the roads up here in michigan are the where the pavement pushes up next to the potholes we have.
  13. That works wonderful..One of my kids used one ...He keeps tryin' to bring it back though....
  14. Point well taken....But, don't put the kaibash on file sharing because the record companys can't (won't)adapt to the changes in technology..I'm just saying there are other ways of getting their revenue than selling discs..all they have to do is work with the consumer..not try to force them to doing things their way...and lawsuits are going to alienate a lot of comsumers from their product..if someone sued you ...would you do business with them again.....probly not.....and for those who would like more info on this topic, check out the June, 2003 issue of Sound And Vision Magizine there is a whole article on this issue
  15. As for your description......Sounds like a young teenager... (don't get all worked up now... I'm being general)... With a very limited income..with a $49.00 stereo system in his ..or ..her vehicle...(this being P C sucks)...and unbaffled speakers in the back window...driven at ..or well above the rated input for the driver itself..on a hot summer day with the windows down..from a distance of...say... 50 feet....need I say more!!.....GC
  16. I agree with tony..I'm tired of having a record company "ramming" their choise of music down my throat Listening to a rock station here in Mid Michigan, you hear the same ten songs ..in the same order..every hour..Switch to another rock station you hear the same thirty songs, that you heard for the last 25 years, almost in the same order that they were played at that time... and over and over again...And the "new rock"is about as stagnant as ...can't think of anything stagnant at this time...Using file share programs, I've had access to a lot of music that I've never heard before...If the artist are so concerned about revenue, they would put some of their material into the file shares themselves, and get their music out there for people to hear. The means to do this is available to just about everyone today,...(look at Marvels wonderful setup)...for heavens sake the record companys aren't doing it for them...and makin' a fortune doing it,. How huch of that revenue do the artists see....2% maybe if their lucky..or rich already. If the RIAA is so concerned about it, work with the system instead of trying to stop it. My subscription to Musicmatch MX Artist On Demand is worth it's weight, and the price, ..I'm not paying for something I don't want to hear..and hearing more of what I do want to hear. Buying CDs' is harder to do now-a-days because you don't know what your gettin', and once you buy it you can't take it back if it sucks. This is a new era of technology ...use it............GC
  17. I agree ...I have found artist that I have never herd of before, cause they don't play smooth jazz on the radio....if I find an artist I like ...I go out and buy the disc..cause mp3s sound terrible on a good system...compressed to the max...no dynamic range real tinny sound...not something I want to listen to on the main system ..fer shure!!
