  1. Everyone knows there's only one "real" USC. [] http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/storage/9/963760/trojan_helmet.jpg''>http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/storage/9/963760/trojan_helmet.jpg' target=_blank mce_href="http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/storage/9/963760/trojan_helmet.jpg">
  2. What do you guys think about #1 USC vs. #14 Nebraska in Lincoln, NE this weekend?
  3. Wayne, I am happy to hear that you're doing well. It's also great to know you didn't have an extended stay in the hospital. That's sure not a fun place to be. Rest up and follow your doctors orders. I hope to see you around here on a regular basis again real soon. Thanks for the update. Best wishes, and get well soon!
  4. Scott, I am looking forward to attending the 4 day gathering next year. Sounds like a blast. Hey, did you ever see/buy Riding Giants? I thought I had mentioned it to you, but maybe not? It's another DVD about legendary big wave riders. P.S. Thanks for the sentiments regarding my Grandfather guys. I really appreciate it.
  5. Scott, John, Damon,I am truly sorry that I missed it . It sure sounds like you guys had a great time. I would have liked to have been there but family priorities kept me home. My Grandfather passed away last Sunday at 91 after courageously struggling with esophageal cancer since late April. It's been a very rough road for me both mentally and physically. I can certainly empathize with others on the Forum who have either dealt with cancer personally, or had loved ones who were affected by cancer. It's an absolutely horrible disease. My Grandfather and I had always been very close, he was my buddy. I am thankful for the 46 years we had together. It was extremely tough to watch someone I cared deeply about whither away to nothing. His passing is bittersweet for me. Yes, I am glad he's no longer suffering, but I'm sure going to miss him. Anyway, sorry for the rant. I am glad you guys had fun. I hope to make it next time. And FWIW, I'd like to see the Parrot back as well.
  6. Wayne, I wish you all the best with your surgery and I'll hope for a complete and speedy recovery! Oh, and as Gregg mentioned, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
  7. I took my boys, my nephew and my nieces to the Orange County Fair last night. They all wanted to see Weird Al who happened to be playing there. To tell you the truth, I really didn't have much interest in seeing him, but I did so for the kids. I really hadn't heard much of Weird Al's stuff before, but I must say, he was rather amusing. Here's a sample of something he did last night which I found to be very funny for some reason. Maybe I am the one that's weird, or perhaps I'm sick? Maybe both?
  8. Patrick, Congratulations! Rosalie sounds very well grounded. My best to both of you.
  9. Jeff Porcaro was one of my favorite all time drummers. He played with and also did studio work for some great musicians in his short lifetime. Enjoy the show Roger!
  10. Scott, John, Damon Thanks for the generous invite. I'll go ahead and look into travel arrangements and try my best to make it out there. It sounds like you guys are planning a good time for sure! [] Is smilin coming?
  11. If it was good enough for PWK, then it's good enough for me.
  12. It wasn't [bs], I've never lied here. I know you won't belive it and that's ok by me. That is your issue & not mine [] Perhaps simply a matter of one person's tomato being another persons tomatoe. [] Coytee, I am not asking you to blow anyones cover. I just want to know for my benefit the name of amps I should be looking at which are superior to VRD's for less money. Help a fellow forum brother out to save money and achieve sonic bliss. []
  13. Nah... I'd hate to be accused of trolling again. After all, we ALL know how lame it is to be commenting on things one has never heard for themselves huh? [:#][][] Thanks for coming clean. I figured it was bullshit.
  14. Piranha said: Hey Coytee, still waiting to hear which amps can be had for less money that sound as good or better than VRD's. I want to buy some! Help a fellow forum brother save a few bucks. Coytee said: I've had more than one person make a side comment to me that they felt the VRD's were over rated. I was told that although the VRD's DO sound nice, there were other amps out there (some for even less expense) that sounded just as good if not even better. This person told me they sold their VRD's and unfortunately I do not recall (nor do I even recall having asked) what they replaced them with.
  15. Gary, Where would you rate the MFSL of Zeppelin II in your ranking of the Classic reissues?
  16. No, I am implying that I don't put much weight into anonymous third party reviews, nor should anyone else. Do us all a favor and tell us which amps you were told sound as good or better for less? I am sure I am not the only one that would like to save a little money.
  17. I'd be happy to own either pCAT or VRD's. Mark and Craig both make nice products. Yes, I have heard both.
  18. Scott, read through this thread for at least a few of the negative responders.
  19. As Budman mentioned, CW's from 85-90 are called II's and they are front mounted. You're right that there are two different CW II's. I think your confusion may lie in the fact that there were vert model CW's which are also referred to as Cornwall II's? I'd be curious to know what years those were manufactured. Maybe Trey Cannon, Jim Hunter or Roy Delgado can give us a history lesson here?
  20. What happened to good old JohnnyDB? He's 2nd from left, bottom row, black shirt. Haven't seen him around in a while.
  21. I want to say that I bought my CWO's for $600 new at AAFES back in the day. I can't find the original bill of sale at the moment, although I do have it somewhere (I hope).
  22. Who's that? Some left coast freak turned me onto him! Give it a whirl some time [] Thanks for the tip NOS, I just bought this at Amoeba in Hollywood last night. The guitar work is great.
