  1. RIP EVH. What an innovative guitarist. I was fortunate to see Van Halen in 1985. I knew he had cancer, but still it is a shock that he has passed.
  2. That video is great. I had not seen it until Pete posted. Apparently, it won the top video award at MTV’s Europe Music Awards. Much better than Petula Clark. I hated that song when I was kid. The radio tortured us with it constantly when I was 5 or 6 years old.
  3. That amp looks pretty power hungry with all those output tubes. You must have to pump that foot pedal pretty hard to keep that amp running. 😉
  4. Yep, you are correct. The '78 woofer is like the one in my '73 Cornwall center channel. But it is a decorator and the woofer is lighter in color. '79
  5. Nice. I've thought about building risers for mine. I've had them for16 years so I probably never will LOL.
  6. Those appear identical to my '79 Cornwalls. Mine have no risers either.
  7. That must have been a great party 😁
  8. There are restaurants that I don't go to for that very reason, even though I like the food.
  9. Many, maybe most people don't think of things like that when they arrange an event. Sawdust or peanut shells spread on floor might help. If the place was packed with people and tables and chairs, it might help too.
  10. And IMO at a venue where, weather permitting, we can set up the speakers outside without complaints from neighbors. That was a big plus factor for the SWAG venue.
  11. For general location reference, the area map below shows the marked locations of the Hope Hampton, the Klipsch factory, Rodney's farm, and Timeless Traditions (location of the SWAG).
  12. I'm in. I like the idea of you having your friends honor your dad. Great wacky idea.
  13. Unless you need that form factor, there are better mid horns, and tweeters.
  14. Three Dog Night - Naturally. 8-Track
  15. A Glencairn glass is waaaaay better than a T-shirt 🙂. Thank you Carl, Pete and Jerry. Very classy SWAG gift.
  16. That was a good one, and I don't care much for rap. My boys listen to it, so maybe I should expand my musical tastes and put a little Macklemore into the rotation.
  17. We listened to about every musical genre. The Telarc SACD of the Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture about made the 15" drivers jump out of the EV cabinets when the cannons fired. That was impressive. Saturday night, we set up a 42" monitor and played the first 4 or 5 tracks on the AC/DC Live at Donnington concert DVD at concert SPLs. A little hard to see the screen from 40 ft back LOL, but it sounded great.
