Yes, Garymd,,,,Santa is where it is at. When they no longer believe they want more. I worked for Toys R Us for years and really loved the Christmas season since I looked for ways to help folks. I loved the divorced dad that came in on the 23rd and needed the biggest box he could get. And never fail, close at 6 pm on the 24th and someone was banging on the window at 6:15, I let folks in until 7:30 and ran the register myself that last hour as long as I could get someone to stay with me. I love the way things look decorated just hate getting them there.

It should be about the kids but I laugh every year around this time. If the wife would just let the kids do the tree it would probably look like crap so the yelling starts and before it is done the wife is the only one decorating the tree ( probably how she wanted it in the first place ). OH, we have to bake cookies for the neighbors and the kids love it (AT FIRST) but flour starts to get everywhere (and yes I start throwing dough) and before long the wife is the only one baking cookies (probably how she wanted it in the first place). When we go to the wife's stomping grounds for the holidays it appears this has happened at all the sister's houses. I just tell my kids (both girls) that someday they will have kids of their own to yell at and not allow to help in the Christmas festivities and they can have it all to themselves. I have never really been a music buff. I listen to the radio more than anything. But with new speakers and the discovery of music dvd's I want to increase my music selection. I have found out that I like James Taylor. So, having said that, who else might I like? I like other groups but I am looking for someone with James Taylor kind of sound.

I have been hunting a good looking audio cabinet. I am going to gut our current entertainment center so it will hold a 60 inch. By doing this, I keep a cabinet my wife likes but will need a new home for the equipment. I like the look of this cabinet with the Cornwalls sitting next to it. What I just thought would look good is an Audio cabinet that LOOKS like a cornwall speaker. Probably would not be hard to build. What do you think that would look like, Might even make two to balance it but I do not know. Anyone have a nice wood audio cabinet?

I (WE) do not go often. We just wait until it comes out on DVD and rent it so we can watch it at home. Or during the summer we wait until it is showing at the drive-in, can't beat the 9 bucks for a car load (usually take the pickup and put the blowup mattress in the back and take our own popcorn and ice chest filled with all the kids favorites. The theatre that is the best is stadium seating but your shoes usually stick to the floor.

I just finished a book. One of the points made, one individual talking to another said, Always stay physically active,,,,,,exercise,,,,,,,this is the best way to beat depression and other "funks". I truely believe this. I used to feel like crap and basically got to where I hated life. Started running and working out again and feel great. I took this approach before going to the doctor to subscribe me a pill. Our bodies were made to sweat and exert energy. I think it does alot mentally and emotionally for you as well.

Fini, I was thinking about your question and the answer hit me. I served for five years. I was single during that time and often did not go home for the holidays because of the funds issue. I lived off post but always went and ate with my troops in the mess hall for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Alot of the young enlisted kids cannot afford to go home and spend this time alone. REAL DEPRESSING! If you live close to an installation go talk to a company commander and see about adopting a couple soldiers for Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner. Play some board games and just make a new friend. You may not get any takers but then again someone may rather spend that time with new friends then by themselves. Just a thought.

I like the grill cloth and the emblems. Can we still get those? I would not mind changing mine.

La Scalas will fit in a Toyota Highlander with enough room for two passengers. But it is tight. Good think there was room for the two passengers. If there wasn't I do not know how my kids would have gotten home!

I have a KLF-C7 as a center and I have no problems with it. Until someone loans me an Academy so I can hear the difference I am keeping what I have.
