  1. Full Volti except that all three have DeanG's SuperX crossovers now. The center has the same veneer but is stained a bit darker to go under the TV. The center's bass bin grills were brown originally in this photo I was mocking up black replacements. Mike, do you have these listed separately in another thread? Somehow, I think that might serve you better.
  2. Actually, I wasn't really proposing the discussion, was just asking question as to how this could possibly be more controversial than, say.....crossovers......or toast.....
  3. Compared to the other "non-controversial" subjects discussed on this board? Really?
  4. i got yer carrot... Yea, you wish.
  5. Depends on what they are asking for the unit. If the Jensen's are functional and in nice shape, they are worth a few bucks. You could also probably utilize the transformers/power supplies as well.
  6. Happy Birthday Michael. Brian Culbertson...good choice!!
  7. Thanks. I don't know why, but when I first picked this up a couple of years ago, I didn't expect much. But then I hooked it up to one of my systems, and was very, very pleased. This is a very strong amp, great channel separation, and with 60 watts per side, more than enough to drive many speakers, Klipsch and otherwise.
  8. Sorry to say, but this sounds like a gigantic gaggle ****. Why would you listen to them AFTER purchase? If it doesn't specifically say fully functional, blah, blah, blah in the ebay listing, believe me, ebay is going to have a very hard time coming down on your side. And....if they've been in a nightclub where people smoked for 25 years.....good luck getting that stink out of those.
  9. Those look like they are just aching to join a Bloody Mary....
  10. Damnit! Next time it's celery!! http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/13/us/marijuana-carrots-texas-border-patrol/index.html
  11. Yep great stuff. Where are you?
  12. SOLD I have two of these that I am putting up for sale here. They are both beautiful, not mint, but very, very nice. Refinished walnut cases. Completely clean inside and out. Everything functional. Polished glass and faceplates. All controls Deoxit and voltages adjusted to spec. They have not been recapped. May consider shipping if no interest locally. Shipping extra. I am located in the South Bend, IN area. Happy to audition them for you. I will drive a bit to meet up if needed. One is $650, the other $600 (due to a slight cabinet ding). Please PM me with interest. Specs: http://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/pioneer/sx-1050.shtml
  13. Really nice integrated amp and tuner set. This is a very well thought of amplifier, and I have enjoyed it very much, but I need to let it go. Fully cleaned inside and out, all functions are excellent, all controls Deoxit, all new front panel knobs on the amp. Very, very clean, makes a nice presentation, and sounds fantastic. Dual power supplies, awesome channel separation. You are welcome to audition this set. Not interested in trades at this time. I am located in the South Bend, IN area. I will drive a bit to meet up if necessary. $300.00 plus shipping, prefer local pickup. http://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/kenwood/ka-7100.shtml Please PM me with interest. SOLD
  14. Gorgeous Marantz receiver, 2226B. Fully cleaned inside and out, controls Deoxit, all voltages adjusted to spec. Faceplate polished, all lights functional. It has not been recapped, but I don't see it needing it for a good long while. Really nice strong amp. I need some new parts to complete some other builds, so this is the first to go. Not interested in trades at this time. I am located in the South Bend, IN area. I will drive a bit to meet up if necessary. $300 plus shipping, but prefer local pickup at my place. You can audition it through your choice of Cornwalls, La Scala's, LSI's, Belle's, or Heresy's. Speakers not included. http://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/marantz/2226.shtml Please PM me with interest, thanks.
  15. Also might recommend posting on AudioKarma, under Barter Town, Parts.
  16. Would highly recommend contacting Jim Hunter or Roy Delgado regarding this. I would imagine that they would be interested in hearing the story and possibly seeing these items. Thanks for posting.
  17. You may also want to email Bob Crites, just a thought.
  18. I have a couple of sources I will check for you. Not selling mine though, I've put too much work and money into them, not to mention they are badass.
  19. Only -12 windchill here. However, sometimes, even heavy snowfall isn't a deterrent and the smoker needs fired up anyway. . My kinda guy....
  20. First serious hit on Big Ben will spell doom for the Steelers. I see a Broncos blowout 38-14.
  21. I feel so very, very lucky to have you here, with your imagined, extraordinarily shallow expertise, and annoying banter after (months?) of postings.....thank you so much.
  22. I've restored (3) Pioneer SX-1250's, (2) Pioneer SX-1050's, (2) Pioneer SX-950's, (2) Marantz 2230's, (1) Marantz 2216B, (2) HK-730's, and a few others. Working on a couple now. Every one of them gained some benefit from the restore, no question. Without a restoration, they may sound "OK" for a while, maybe a long while, but they won't sound really "great", not to mention without a restoration you are just putting off the inevitable failure of a 30 year old cap, power supply, etc.
