  1. How come you do not remove the hf section of you lsii's?
  2. Part of being a manager is delegation, what else are they doing that seems ineffectual?
  3. bluray pure audio... I have DVD-a, but I dont have any of those. I'm gonna have to look into that one. I take it Pure lossless uncompressed signal files? Funny... I don't see that on the queen website even though it references it on the back of the BD. are these Chinese made?
  4. do you think that either one of them will probably sound pretty damn good on the system? well then...
  5. This made my morning. As said, play the speakers. If you crank it up and you hear distortion, harshness, etc, turn it down. That is all. The cornwalls should be able to get pretty loud on 50 watts. What did you pay for the Sony? this is so true... distortion is much more damaging to a speaker
  6. stack them head to head for 2 channel goodness.
  7. It will drive them no problem.... is it the best solution for ht, certainly not. Klipsch speakers are HIGHLY efficent so they only need a watt or two to achieve 100db or more. They thing is, ht really requires some head room because of the way a movie delivers sound.... in peaks and spikes.
  8. Dont you know... you're supposed to post pictures....
  9. bottle neck? weak link? maybe the fact that I only run 3.1 right now when watching movies, but I am still happy. I to am unhappy with "handshake" issues... load times don't really bother me anywhere near as much as goddamn previews and pre movie advertising. I love those few disks I have that go directly to the menu page.
  10. wow... what the hell did I hear during that ASMR video? it was outstanding.
  11. Interesting cab's http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/ele/4336013528.html
  12. looks like tandberg made Cassettes also... checking on ebay
  13. most of the NEW vinyl action comes from the other side of the pond... that's not surprising. there is a lot of Manufacturing going on over in England and middle Europe. of course... we STILL HAVE our gems over here in the states. http://www.berniegrundmanmastering.com/services.html My new copy of Secret life of Walter Mitty came from the Bernie Grundman studio.
  14. wow very nice... is that a statue of Ganesh?
  15. I've used forward air a few times... for motorcycles. I was always very happy with there pricing and service. I've never had the need for speakers service though. I think some sellers might benefit if they went ahead and posted up the origin and "APPROXIMATE" costs for freight to say different major regions(south, west coast, etc). I think many people would be more inclined to think more seriously if they didn't have to go thru that initial research for shipping or if they just had some general idea of what it might possibly cost.
  16. here ya go... at least this is closer to you http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-La-Scala-Crites-Floor-Standing-Speakers-/301101016484?pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item461b04e5a4
  17. ^ Yes... do it. it will need to be broken down by region.
  18. oh yes... those are exactly perfect! now, where did I leave my wallet... oh I found it... it's empty.
  19. Zappa Apostrophe... On LP or high bit CD. I actually think the CD might be slightly better, or at the very least it's better is a different way. "These albums were meticulously re-transferred and remastered from the original "Dolby A" master tapes. Playback was through a specially-enhanced Ampex ATR-102 using audio cards upgraded by John Musgrave. No EQ, compression, limiting or other "enhancements" were used in the transfer. The analog-to-digital conversion was accomplished using the dB Technologies™ AD-122 A/D converter with 20-bit resolution, recorded directly to the hard disk of the Sonic Solutions digital mastering workstation. Once edited into the final form, the program was transferred through the Sony Super Bitmapping process integrated into the Sonic System. This "noise-shaping" process allows the music to be captured in 16-bits while maintaining the optimal signal-to-noise equivalent of 20-bits. This 16-bit “Super Bit Mapped” PCM 1630 master was then used in the production of the Au20 CD. These discs will be distributed on 24K gold plated CDs, each individually numbered and registered with Rykodisc. All work was done at the Utility Muffin Research Kitchen, utilizing the latest and best sounding equipment available. For those of you that crave the sound and the editing of the original vinyl releases, we believe that these Au20 CD's come the closest yet to capturing that original magic"
  20. what "order" is an open baffle LF section?
