  1. I wouldn't recomend the Crown XLS series however. They get a little harsh when you push them. If budget is an issue, the GX series sound almost as good but are much more affordable than the PLX2's.
  2. I run 4 of the PLX2's in my HT. You'd be hard pressed to find anything that sounds appreciably better at any price. You can achieve concert levels with no ear fatigue. As a matter of fact, I went to see the Band Perry last night and remember saying to myself while there, how much better the audio is in my living room at those volumes.
  3. Yes, large rear wheels are a must. For the occasional times you want to bag, be sure it;s a rear bagger that is easy to get on and off.
  4. Nice! We'll expect a full review after you've put it through it's paces.
  5. Wish her a Happy Birthday from me. I turn 48 tomorrow. Birthday buddies!!![^]
  6. Still looking for something trade worthy. My youngest daughter will turn 15 tomorrow. For her birthday we bought her an electric/acoustic guitar (no amp). Lessons to follow.
  7. While sitting at your imaginary table you haven't built.
  8. You'd think that the list of side effects at the end of the drug ads would be enough to keep people from using them. We've got drugs to make your eye lashes grow for pete's sake. Possible side effects include eye pain, loss of vision, swelling of the face or tongue?????? People still buy the crap if they can get a Dr. to perscribe it.
  9. The newer AVR's with pre-outs are relatively inexpensive, especially when comparing one to the cost of your speakers. Pick one up, it will make connection to your outboard amps infinitely easier.
  10. Always figured you to be a Solid State guy.
  11. I've had, and worn out several push mowers over the years, most with B & S engines. About 3 or 4 years ago I bought my first mower with a Honda. Man, what a difference. Quieter, easier to start, better fuel consumption and great power. I don't think I'll go back to the old standard. I'm slowly converting all my ancillary lawn tools (blower, string trimmers etc) to Stihl. Better tools actually make the job easier. You pay a little more but they last longer, are easier to find parts for and shorten your work time.
  12. I guess it would depend on the size of the yard. I use a push mower mostly for the exercise. I specifically bought one without self propulsion. If I had a huge yard, I might reconsider.
  13. Turn the amp on AFTER the pre-amp. Have the volume off on the pre-amp. Speakers connected. No pop.
  14. Pound for pound, one of Klipsch's best efforts IMO. I do miss them but I've moved on. You'll be experiencing withdrawls shortly. I plan on putting the ATI on my KP-301's when I get it home. It'll replace my 300 wpc Sunfire[].
  15. I believe there's one for sale (cylinder) in the garage sale section as we speak.
  16. You have to have the speakers unplugged every time you turn the amp on or off? Never heard that one before.
  17. I've read that PS Audio makes some nice stuff. GLWYS!
  18. That SVS would be a great pick up for someone wanting to get their first real sub. Good luck with your sale!
  19. Oops, just saw where this pre-pro has already been mentioned. My bad. Of note, you can get this pre-pro AND a 7 channel amp for 1100. Not bad for brand new seperates WITH a warranty.
  20. Depends on how much you spend on your receiver. I paid $300 for my HK Receiver and am using it as a Pre/Pro. If you are going to spend $1500 on a receiver, you might want to consider moving to separates. Other than Emotiva, a dedicated Pre/Pro isn't cheap. http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/975.html
  21. You just had to use the "g" word didn't you. In before the lock.
