  4. I can say that the Custom-3's do work well for this. If I am riding alone I have mine with me. I am moving up to a touring bike soon It has a built in intercom. I plan on buying an adapter so I can use the custom 3's with it. I like the way they fit in close to your ears and the helmet dois not get in the way. Steve
  5. I am no pro and this picturewas taken with a cheap digital. But I have been told this also follows the rule of thirds. BTW Justin I like your pictures and all the others that posted in here as well.
  6. If your ever in Snook Texas you need to stop in here. Take a look at the steak at the start of the video. yyuumm. http://blinkeredthinker.com/2006/12/09/ultimate-finger-food-chicken-fried-bacon-strips/ Steve

  8. Congradulation from one granddad to another. Steve
  9. Hey Bob, If you are working on something like this see if it could be a plug in mic with a cord so we could use our headsets we already have. Just a suggestion. Steve
  10. I will say that I do wear a helmet but probably for the most part it is because of the law that requires it to be worn, and cause Caroline wants me to. lol I actually own 4 helmets for me and 3 for Caroline. The most comfortable one is the non-dot aproved brain bucket. The one that is worn the most is a 3/4 open face with a full shield. Sput, I am really glad everything is working out for you. You had us worried. Steve
  11. Now thats cool. I am having second thoughts on the color though. I really like 3 of the choices and the problem is you can't get all 3 colors in the same place at the same time to do a good comparison. The three are Black pearl, Red Hot SunGlo, and Dark Blue Pearl. I saw the Dark Blue Pearl yesterday and am leaning more toward that now. Steve
  12. Bill, That just looks so great, an insperation for us all. Caroline asked if the shelves in the front of the room were to put knick-knacks on...[] Steve
  13. srobak, Nice rides, where did you take the pictures? I like the voodoo in the background of your ST. Steve
  14. Richard, I will not have it by then. Wont be in till mid September. Oh and I live on a gravel road, just ride slow, but I do hate the dust from it. Glen, We have already talked about coming to see yall on it. Do you think Verna would mind leaving the Stang in the driveway one night[] lol Steve
  15. Sunday I put down a depost on a 2009 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic in Black Pearl. I have been wanting to upgrade for quite some time and have been looking and doing my research. I almost bought one 3 months ago and when my dad had a stroke I put it on hold. The 2009 models were released with all new frames, redesigned exhaust, taller front wheel and wider rear tire. The bike will also have anti-lock brakes and the security system. The bike should arrive around the middle of next month. I can't wait. Here is a picture.
  16. These people are everywhere, and in every profession. Warning this may scare some people..... You know I work for an airline and in the maintenance department. I am the guy the pilots call if something is wrong with the plane. We fly 50 seat Embraer regional jets, we are not talking 747's here. The other night I had a pilot call after landing in Colorado Springs and he said that his flaps had failed to extend and he had to land at 0 flap speeds about 180 knots compared to 140 knots. I was able to reset the flap system with him so that was not a big deal. The problem was that he stood on the brakes so hard that he overheated the right side brakes enough that a fuse plug on one tire blew out. The wheels have a plug that if it gets too hot it blows before the tire does. OK its understandable that when you land at a faster speed that you will need more brakes to stop if you are on a short runway, but Colorado Springs runway that he landed on is 13,500 feet long, thats about 2.5 miles. Its long enough to land the space shuttle on it. The only thing we could figure was it was 1. lack of experience, 2. just plane scared, or 3. stupid. Last night one called and told one of the other guys that there was something wrong with both engines. When she pulled the power levers back to idle the the turbine temp. was going down. She didn't understand his explanation that when you put less fuel in it the temp is suppose to go down. I bet every one of you has stories like this, don't you. Steve
  17. I hate to hear this. Its just like OB said its lack of respect for other people.[N] Steve
  18. Yup it fizzled out, but it did make for some great sleeping weather today. Steve
  19. Good thread and very good advice. I run my truck at 80psi, the max on the tires. It does make for a little ruffer ride but I know it saves on the fuel bill. Also while you are checking the four tires on the ground make sure you do not forget the spare tire. I would suck to have a flat and find your spare low too. A good tire tool for checking the tread depth is a penny. Put Lincoln in upside down and if you can see the top of his hair you need to start looking for some new tires. Top of his hair to the edge is approx. 3/32" Steve
  20. Who, did you ever see Pirates of the Caribbean, Jonney Depp does some good "gay" acting..... Speaking of Depp I think he could pull off the Joker. I thought this movie was great, the best of all the Batman movies and also the best movie I have seen in a while. I thought Heaths acting was outstanding. Steve
  21. The theatre that Caroline and I went to see it at was also on the loud side. I will say it was an excelent movie and Heath was amazing as the joker. To bad his life ended the way it did. Steve
  22. delhite2 I think I have the codes on a disk let me look. edit: Found it if you will send me an e-mail I will send them to you. Steve
  23. Mark, Glad to hear that your ok. I also have been away for awhile, my dad had a stroke but he is not fairing as well. Good luck on your recovery and find the will to quit smokeing. Steve
