How far away do you sit from your mains? I essentially have the same setup as you, mains are 9ft from listening position (non-dedicated room) and my mains were set @ -8,-9. I know it is subjective but +1 seems high. I just got the Denon DBP2010, so I will pick up a copy of Transformers2 and check for distortion.

I would get a hold of the Klipsch parts Dept and see how much the parts are for cosmetic issues you couldnt live with. Mainly the woofers since you say the dust covers are pushed in(if that is the only problem with the woofers, it will NOT affect the sound) and if you want to live without grills or covers. I would opt for the cheaper of the two and then use or dont use the grills. If you get the grills it really doesnt matter what the woofers look like. I would then weigh it against how severe the damage is to the cabinets. It really comes down to if you want a rocking speaker only or if you want it to look nice as well. You may want to try the jumper trick AFTER you pay him the 100 and get them home. If you do it in front of him and he sees that is all it was, he may want to increase the price. Unethical on sellers part, YES. Good Luck.

I just got back from a funeral service for an ex girlfriend of 5 years but we stayed very close friends for the last year. We talked almost as much after we broke as we did when we were dating. I have a 4 year old Denon 2805 I will sell for $225 OBO. I will be in Minneapolis the last week in Aug and could bring it that far. Depending on where you are in WI you may be able to pick it up.
