This is a huge can of worms and I could care less what people think but I've gone back and forth with a few different types of these moderate-affordable type of power cables......and I can say without hesitation that the types I experimented with DID sound different from each other. No question in my mind. The sound quality didn't neccesarily improve with one brand (it actually degraded the sound quality). My story is that I actually stumbled into this experiment by accident and one thing led to another. One day after checking out a preamp that was loaned to me I couldn't figure out why it was sounding different from what I remembered. After all the investigating, I finally realized that after switching some things around and hooking the preamp back up I accidentally grabbed a different power cord. Once I realized this, I started comparing all of my power cords. They all sounded/performed the same except for this one in particular. So then I went on to experiment with some moderately priced Viborg and Cullen power cables. I stuck with the ones I thought made my system sound best. Not something I thought would matter.....but it did and I couldn't deny it....and didn't break the bank. So now after I got all new PC's every time I listen I sit in the sweet spot wearing nothing but a thong and life is good. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

Power cables are Viborg. Silver and black....can't remember off hand which model. Five and three foot lengths Tube preamp is a Zero Zone. It's a Chinese knock off of a Conrad Johnson design apparently. I took a chance on this relatively cheap pre that was getting good reviews on Audiokarma. I use a restored HH Scott 222c for all my mellow stuff. I agree.....big time sweetness. It does great with the heavy stuff as well but when it comes to Slayer, Metallica, Pantera etc......I much prefer high powered solid state. It brings out the aggressive qualities of that type of music that low a powered tube amp just cannot. Think live concert.[emoji106] Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

We did. There were very few 4K channels for us partly because the ones offered were of no interest to us. I'm thinking eventually there will be more....probably all the channels will be in 4K but we'll have to pay.

So since we got the new router with WI-FI 6, all of our digital devices have been humming right along. I do see a minor improvement/ stability across the board. I'm not totally certain but it sure seems like YouTube TV's picture quality has improved as well. Maybe I've just gotten used to it. YouTube TV threw in a handfull of new channels into our basic plan last week. The few things that I knew would take some getting used to.......well, we've pretty much gotten used to them for the most part. Now, we're just sitting back and anticipating the price climb over the next couple/few years. It'll be right there with our local cable companies prices I'm sure. Hope I'm wrong.

Telefunken GZ34. I like my Bugle Boys better but this tube is nice.

No Facebook and I don't sit and study my phone all day, every day. The only reason I have a smartphone is to go on audio forums and make fun of all the wooden eared dorks out there.

I streamed from a laptop for a long time and really liked it. I ditched the laptop and also went with a Bluesound Node 2i. I use a seperate DAC (Schiit Modius) and I'm borderline amazed at how good the sound quality is. Combined with a warm/smooth sounding amp and preamp.....I can dig it.
