Well recently I saw a picture where management took sales and office people on a get away . Maybe they should have spent that money on some raises or on the factory people huh. I worked in factory all my life and believe me, we  [workers] find out about the special trips and bonuses. Does nothing but cause problems so why do it?

I would demand a refund and go find a better deal if the dealer does not work with you. I think you could get a better deal from a different dealer. Message me if you want more information.

Don't get me wrong I love the brand own several products but if I bought those and paid that price I would be made as hell. Not a good way to keep customers.

Hey management......If you cant do something for everyone don't do it.

The getaway you “saw” pictured was actually an audio show conference they were attending.

  2. Thank you for your generous contribution @mikebse2a3  It means more than you even know.

Thank you to all that have contributed. The loss was very unexpected and I’m certain the family and Roy will appreciate any contributions we put together.

We are never fully accepting of the passing of a loved one, but this was truly unexpected.

As always, thank you all and feel free to PM me or the others mentioned above for details.

Thank you @MetropolisLakeOutfitters and @Scrappydue for allowing me to post in our Facebook moderators group as donations are received.

  3. I’m posting this here at the encouragement of another forum member.

I would like to send my very deepest condolences to Roy Delgado, Chief Engineer for Klipsch Group, Inc. on the unexpected loss of his younger brother, Michael.

I will be sending our condolences to the family in Donna, TX.   If any of you would like to contribute you may do so by sending donations to

    Busy.bees.orders@gmail.com via PayPal.

Just put ROY on your contribution.  We intend to send flowers, as well as a donation to the family to assist in expenses.

All contribution info is being shared with @MetropolisLakeOutfitters

and @Scrappydue so others are aware of what monies are being collected.

I’m not tagging Roy or any of his family in this post, in the hopes that we can pull this off without notifying them.

As always, feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.

I was hoping to buy and donate them to the museum with the only agreement is to have a placard of my ugly mugshot to be displayed as the donor.

Once we finalize the donation procedure for this project the placard will read something similar to “Donated by the Klipsch Forum Community, Klipsch Owners Facebook Group” and other Facebook group members that may contribute, such as Vintage Klipsch Owners, Klipsch Fanatics, etc. This project struck a chord with a lot of folks. The momentum assured the Museum could make the acquisition. We could not have accomplished this without all of you supporting the effort.

I’m truly overwhelmed!!!  Thank you all!

One of the Admin's of the Vintage Klipsch Fans group on Facebook said that when I make a post with the donation link , he will pin the post for a couple days.

Klipsch fans are truly “die hard”, in case you haven’t figured that out yet!  We are a bunch of crazies. Thank you @rjw1678!  Hope you stick around here for awhile!  It’s a great group of folks.

A plan is in place.  More patience and less speculation is called for at this time. Don't forget, this a seller's thread in Garage Sale.  Please respect that.

@DizRotus, thank you for your phone call today. I think we are all in agreement these LaScalas are deserving of placement in the Museum. We will all do whatever is necessary to accomplish this task.

Thank you to everyone that has offered input and monetary assistance to make this happen.

There are times I feel “tested” by my involvement in the museum and then there are times that my heart explodes with pride. This is a case of feeling the pride. You guys are absolutely the best.

Looking forward to the next update from @DizRotus

Those crossovers have KLiP diodes, tweeter protection.

They are the 17th and 18th La Scalas made.

I'd guess $700 to $1000 for the pair in the pictured condition, if all the drivers are good.

Perhaps the Museum would be interested in them, but the forum would have to buy them and gift them.  The museum has little budget.

I’m thinking your estimate is a little high considering the condition.

Please consider the suggestion by Tasdom above about donation to the museum and the tax write-off implication as the museum is legally a non-profit organization. I see that there is even a person willing to deliver them to the museum for FREE.

@USNRET, we have transportation arranged at no charge to the museum. Thank you all for continued support of our efforts.

I think the museum is a great place for them. I personally don’t see someone using them in their living room but that’s just me. It will take an off a lot of work and money to get them looking good and possibly sounding good if some Or all of the components need replacing.

Thank you @Youthman  I’m hoping the OP realizes the historical significance of these speakers, by donating them to the Museum. I have transportation arranged to the Museum in Hope, AR if the OP is willing to donate.

Of course, a letter of donation would be provided. That being said, I’m in agreement with you. It would take a tremendous amount of work to restore these.

I'm glad you are jumping on this for the museum!  Certainly worth saving!

I'm glad to pitch in a little to help the museum with this.

I’m just not sure what the OP is wanting. A donation of LaScalas would of course be ideal. Beyond that we may have to request donations to fund the purchase.

I am of the opinion that they belong in the Museum...hopefully the OP is of the same belief.

I’d make a donation to fund that purchase.  Where’s  @JRH‘s little book?  I’d like to know who originally bought those.

I have asked @JRH to take a look at this thread. Personally, as a Board of Trustee member and Secretary of the Executive Committee for the Klipsch Heritage Museum Association, I want these for the Museum.

If the OP would be willing to donate these, the Museum could possibly arrange to pay shipping.

I’m loving this. To the best of my knowledge we have no LaScalas in our Museum collection.

    OP, please advise????
