  1. I'm not sure how far, but get out a map,Vestal is just to the left of Binghamton, N.Y, looks about 200 miles. I remember when I priced them, it was, don't qoute me on this, $1300. per pair, cash and carry, but they ship UPS anywhere, and if they order from Klipsch, they have to ship them anyway. Take the time to E-mail Frank Gow @ www.audioclassics.com; he will answer your questions, and help you without applying sales pressure!! Good luck
  2. I do not own K-Horns, someday but not right now, but I just purchased H2's in Mahogany. I did not even look at them when I got them, they were in a sealed carton from Klipsch. I probably would not have ordered them with the Mahogany, but it was the last pair of H2's that they had, or I could find in upstate N.Y., they made me a great deal to take them, so good I took them sight unseen, Mahogany, had my doubts, but wanted the speakers, so home they came. When I unboxed them and set them up, I was amased how nice they looked, almost love at first sight. I had never even seen a listing for Mahogany, they sure looked fine to me, what a surprise, I could not be happier, well maybe if I got K-horns, they sure look nice. Not sorry about that purchase, long ride, wife not happy about the purchase, but even she commented how nice they look, trust me, that's half the battle, getting the wife to like them. Just my thoughts for what they're worth! HMA 17- 053800005 / 6 newborns
  3. K-horns, La scala's, Belles, Cornwalls, aren't those, when bought new sort-a High End? How much for new? Pretty pricey used aren't they? My new H2's listed for what $1,300. per pair, not cheap eh? Where do you draw the line, at what price, at what level does it end? HIFI, when it started, was not stereo, but at that time, was high end. To me Klipsch is a high end product, and worth every penny, but other people have a different opinion on speakers, and this is good too. It's what makes the BUYER happy that counts, not what a bunch of people on a forum think. Let's listen to the MUSIC, and enjoy it, not worry about what equipment other people buy.Really, if it's not your money, why do you care? It's the MUSIC not the Equipment, take a break!
  4. Upstate New York; you could also order from them; Audio Classics, Vestal, New York 13850 1 800 321 2834 www.audioclassics.com Frank Gow they will take care of your needs if you can't find anything local.
  5. I have a Sony strD1011 silver receiver 120 wattsx 2 for $100. you pay shipping or pick-up
  6. BOB MARLEY and the WAILERS ;Live at the Rainbow DVD 5.1 DTS This is a 1977 show at London's Rainbow Theatre. Marley was the reason I ever began listening to regaee music, still to this day, he is the only one I listen to. This show was around the time that Exodus was high on the charts worldwide. This is a 2disc set, one disc; the Rainbow show, the other disc; a documentary of Bob's life, the usual stuff, interviews with family, and friends, unseen footage of Bob. It's a good look at the man, and his music. Now the show, first, I bought this on VHS tape years ago, it really isn't anything new, but I liked the show so much, I had to re-buy it.VHS was dolby surround, and it was good, but once I heard it in DTS5.1, forget it, whole new show! From the opening of Trenchtown Rock, to ending with EXODUS these boys cook. To me the Wailers never sounded better, what a band they became. Fine musicians all, Junior Marvin on lead guitar, sweet playing, and the I-Threes, great backing vocals, and finally, Bob Marley, what can I say, this was his night. Most of the show draws from, Natty Dread, very political based songs, some of his best song writing. Bob prowling the stage, singing behind the girls, just a great performance by a true star, backed by a fine band. The songs are like greatest hit package; Them Belly Full; I shot the sheriff; Rebel Music; Lively up Yourself; No Woman No Cry; Jamming; Crazy Baldhead; WAR/ No more Trouble; the Heaten, just non-stop Classics. If you like Bob Marley and the Wailers, this is a MUST HAVE. I hope you enjoy it half as much as I do; Excuse me while I light this Spliff!
  7. Now I know what Dump in a Bag looks like, thanks so much!
  8. Rick Danko of the Band Mr. Jack Bruce of the Cream; West,Bruce and Laing;BLT
  9. 6cats, It is realy hard to compare speakers on this forum. Most of the responses you get are from guys with Khorns, Lascalas, Belles, and Cornwalls, some are original, most are modified. KG4's are like enter level to these guys, and that's fine, but I think they forget about just starting out in this hobby, and getting to the point where you can purchase the same fine gear that they already own.I bought new KG4's in 94, they have served me well, and I will probably keep them.I just purchased new H2's, put them upfront, moved the 4's to the back, works for me. I cannot comment on Chorus II's, never heard them,BUT I do know you can't compare 4's to any other Heritage Series speaker. Most of these guys are very knowledgable, and do know what they are talking about, listen to them, they , won't steer you wrong.Get all the information you can from these guys, think about it, and in the end, let your ears decide. It's your money, and it's your choice.Good Luck, but some of the prices you've paid already, you are lucky.
  10. UMA has a twin? That thebes is an old devil isn't he!
  11. Best of luck, and a speedy recovery. I understand the stamina issue with Heart disease, and people will never understand it, unless it happens to them. Peace be with you, and you WILL have good news to report. Oh one more thing, Leave the nurses alone!
  12. I know that at 58 years old I don't hear as well as 30, but I think that is normal. Years of factory work before OSHA mandated hearing protection didn't help either. My dad always said that the Rock n Roll will make you deaf, hope he was wrong. Jacksonbart, There must be 2 Godzilla's, the one from here killed himself after listening to rap music.
  13. Yummm; Is that one of Thebe's missing twins?
  14. Whatever! I have never seen one of your posts that calls people stupid. Most of your replies help, or give advice to people, or make a point without calling people names.Maybe you should re-read your post.
  15. Thanx for the chart info, and your answer, my only comment is Rap isn't music!
  16. What is humorous about calling people stupid!!Just because you worked there does not give you the right to do that! You are entitled to your opinion, but calling people stupid, is not a nice thing to do, because they don't buy the same things as you do. I think they call it CHOICE!
  17. Felix Pappalardi of Mountain John Entwistle of the Who
  18. Another idea, put a sub with the KG4's. It also depends if you want 2way (KG4) or 3ways.
  19. Parrot, Let me ask you this; The human ear DOES NOT hear 20HZ, you feel it, not hear it? 20KHz the human ear can't hear that either? The older you are the less you hear on the high end? Basically what you posted is true, and all the talk about a range of 20Hz on the low end, to a range of 20KHz or more is just idle talk? This is my understanding, or am I off base on this? Please give me your opinion on this, although I think you just did.
  20. FOAM EAR PLUGS might help them out, or maybe a few more watts might clear things up. Hang in there Jim, don't let them get you down.
  21. , It's like "Jock itch", you get it, you scratch it, you put medicine on it, it goes away, then lo and behold, IT COMES BACK!
  22. VETTE guy; Just went to your web site, WOW, looks like you got it covered Bro., you not only have great stereo equipment, you have some pretty nice cars, and a pretty busy life to keep up with all of it. You are very lucky, and truly blessed, my hat is off to you,Rock on, indeed!
  23. FINE, FINE, Beautiful equipment!! Lucky man, should be PROUD!
  24. SO WHAT; Who really cares? Those are good products, to other people they might be the best. I don't care for Bose, B+O is highly rated, and NAK, people on the forum have NAK,so where is the problem, with the equipment, the people who buy it, or do you have a problem with wealth? Can't you use those 4 silly pillars to describe your feelings for your Klipsch Speakers?Think about it! You don't have to buy,or use those products.Maybe you should be the one to get a life, instead of producing dump in a bag. It's been written here before, and it's still true; DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS!!
  25. That's a pretty unfair statement about people who shop at Target. Plenty of honest, hardworking, intelligent people shop there, including soccer moms, who happen to drive SUV's. If they chose to buy Bose products, So What? You don't have to, you buy what you like, don't you? What a great country we live in that we have the freedom to buy whatever you want, from whoever you want, whenever you want to buy it. If everyone wanted to buy Klipsch speakers, there probably wouldn't be any left for us to buy, no comparisions to make to other speakers, and all music would sound the same. That doesn't sound like such a bad idea!
