  1. Lou, Sorry to hear that Thump wasn't around to help you out. If you only option is ceiling speakers then go for it. As you read Thump really liked the outcome with his setup. So go for it and tell us what you think. James
  2. Cheap stuff would be fine but I get good wires at a cheaper price, MonoPrice. I almost have all my setups running with wires from them and no problems at all. James
  3. I was thinking they were going to say that. The in-wall speakers are the matching main front speakers for your CDT-5800-C and that is why they suggested to go with those instead. Sure you can, Bill H posted the link so just click on that and click the send a PM (private message). Then you can ask your questions and he should answer you. James
  4. No problem Lou. Just trying to help out, do post back what they say. It would be great to learn what CS has to say about your questions. Hope everything works out for you. James
  5. Klipsch does sell an enclosure for those speakers, HERE. Maybe bring that up with customer service tomorrow. Sorry but I don't know too much about the in-wall and in-ceiling speakers to give you an answer about which brand would be better. James
  6. You can check out these links to see if you find anything. You might be hard pressed to find something in pine but you never know. RacksandStands StandsandMounts Have you picked a stand for your TV yet? Maybe you can get the matching audio rack. Is it possible to build something to suite your needs? James
  7. I'm sure if you are only able to use ceiling speakers they would be fine. With being able to pivot the speaker and rotate the tweeter I'm sure it will help you getting the sound to where you need it. You can always give customer service a call to see what they have to say on the matter. James Also, Welcome to the forum....
  8. Cool.... Good to know that you read thru the above post on each.... James
  9. Ok here is the information. Bi-Amping BI-Wiring James
  10. Like everything the sound is really left up to the person, does it sound better bi-amped or not. I believe that you are bi-wiring in the current setup. I will look for the comments from Klipsch about bi-wiring and bi-amping and post them for you. James
  11. They sure will... If you don't believe me then hook up one set and listen to your setup for a month then switch the wires. See if you notice any difference. Since you already have them it will be a free test. James
  12. That is one fine family picture you have there... Belles are on my watch list for sure... James
  13. Hey Bill, don't for get about checking out MonoPrice for the TV mount. Some really good reviews on the mounts that they have and as always, great prices. Bill that is a good link from a great company. James
  14. Just let me know, we can figure something out I'm sure. James
  15. Way to go in the pickup but sorry to hear about the problem you are having with the future wife. You both can stop by my place and have a look and listen at my 4 set-ups. From the RF-83's to the (2) Cornwall, and the Heresy, the Cornwalls and Heresy are set-up for 2-channel. It's really great that my gf is really good about all my hobbies, this one in particular. A speaker purchase goes something like this. Me: guess what I found... GF: Let me guess another set of speakers... Me: How did you know? GF: Cause that's all I expect from you. Me: Now that's funny but not true at all... GF: So when and where are you going and who is going with you? Me: I haven't figured it out yet but you can always go if you want.... She even when with me to the last Klipsch pilgrimage in Indy 2 years ago and really enjoyed it... James PS if you need to hide those Heresy for awhile I'll be happy to help you... []
  16. Welcome to the forum. Cornwalls and Marantz sound great together, congrats on the setup... I had a 2238B hooked up to my Cornwalls until I got my McIntosh items, now it just pulls turner duties... You might want to look at Elemental Designs and AV123 for your sub. Also take a look in the Subwoofer section for more help. James
  17. Richard, count me in on the festival whenever you have it. James
  18. WOW, looks like a great time had by all. Thanks for all the pictures and thoughts on the weekend. Really wish I could have made it. By any chance, does anyone have a total group shot? How many members showed up? James
  19. Wow that is weird, as stated I'm running XP home and I also have all my music on an external HD that I just que up and play from. Good luck with the Pro version. James
  20. Maybe something with the Pro version, I'm currently running it on XP home with SP3. Yes it does play flac files. James
  21. you named I-Tunes, what are the other two programs that you also tried but didn't like? Don't know if you tried Winamp, I've had it for a while now and like it. I don't remember if I had to sign up when I first set it up or not. James
  22. I say sit back and listen to them for a while and see how you like them. Before you make any modifications you need to have a base on how they sound. If in a few months you want to try a few mods, then first decide where you want to start. Like already mentioned, caps and tweeter changes can be made. I had a pair of Heresy I that I had for almost a year before I had Bob Crites switch the caps for me. James
  23. Yes it does and remember it was mentioned earlier, get the grate with the hinged openings. It is easier to add charcoal to the existing fire when needed. Plus shop around right after the season, you can find those grates even cheaper sometimes. James
