  1. Congratulations on the superb find and acquisition! I too have original RF-7s and would suggest trying to find an RC-7 for an exact voice-matched front soundstage. Otoh, that RC-64 was voiced to go with the warmer later RF-83/63 which they quickly discontinued to bring back the RF-7 series. When they did, they also changed up the RC-64 to a second generation version to match the cleaner/brighter RF-7II. I asked at the time and am still curious how the RC-64II mates with the original RF-7 and that may be something to look into.
  2. Funny you say this...I stood in line with a wristband, at 6am in the morning outside a Sears store to get 6 tickets. While we were waiting a car drove by that looked like it had Mick in it (It of course wasn't him) and someone in line joked, "hey it's Mick Jagger counting the money he's raking in and seeing what we have to go through to get tickets!" 😂 Cut to the concert--it was in Dallas and I had friends coming in from Little Rock to see it with me. I was excited because I was one of the first ones in line to get the tickets and thought we were going to get good seats...As we made our way high up into the stadium to the "cheap seats" (sic), behind a pole one of my friends exclaimed, "This isn't the Steel Wheels Tour, it's the STEAL YOUR MONEY TOUR!" 😑 Yes, we still had a great time, but..
  3. I agree a third LsScala would be best but it seems very few people can accommodate it's size without massive rearranging or aesthetics. That said, it's interesting to read about center channels diyed for this purpose...
  4. Dunno. Back in the day he advised me what was allowed and then chastised me when evidently I misunderstood... Fwiw, this sounds reasonable, but...
  5. This really isn't a problem if you don't engage with them in debate. Those wanting to be "left alone" are the quiet ones (on all sides) and the ones entering the public discussion are expressing their rights as citizens. That's how I see it.
  6. Fwiw, I know a family on the frontline of the transgender issue and there is no "genitalia mutilation of children. Everything they choose to do is reversible if they decide differently at age 18. {Note: Evidently there are cases of 16 year olds being allowed to have surgery in extreme cases, which I have to think is for the persons wellbeing as deemed by everyone involved.}
  7. It didn't appear anyone answered you so: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual.
  8. Great! Of course not! I wish to engage but are we allowed to counter those that aren't as tolerant or respectful? Maybe @OO1 can give us some guidance on how to continue...
  9. It appears you're off by sevenfold This link says 7.2%. https://news.gallup.com/poll/332522/percentage-americans-lgbt.aspx Btw, is this something we can discuss on the Klipsch Forum? 🤔
  10. Hmm....I'm still curious why someone would continually "like" comments on threads at a pace where they can't possibly be reading, and if they are, must be setting records for doom-scrolling. 😮 Gotta admit it used to bother me but now I am only slightly intrigued. 🤔
  11. Not in the slightest....
  12. Ha! I remember starting a thread on a similar subject almost 20 years ago. Lol!
  13. That's how it was/is with SACDs and DVD-As....Not so much with VHS tapes. 😁
  14. Der Brisket Ambassador! 🍻 I like it. 🍸
  15. My Denon/Klipsch has no hiss and is silent in this scenario.
  16. Fwiw, I would think that is why Klipsch doesn't label it 8 Ohm as they do the Heritage line which doesnt have such a jagged Frequency Respose chart...That's why the marketing term " 8 Ohm Compatible" because at higher SPL the speaker could struggle if enough current wasn't available. That's my take and still think by European standards the RF-7 can't be labeled "8 Ohm."
  17. Yep. I had a situation involving our German Shepherd, Gretchen that caused me pain for 10 years until necessity made me have it rectified....Fwiw, if you feel it on pretty much everything you do moving around it probably would be better to have it done sooner than later. That's my take.
  18. I wouldn't have it done. You'll probably feel better and it will change your sunny disposition. Who wants that? 🤓 Yep. Even with insurance it can be a substantial amount....Otoh, if you don't mind walking with a limp, wait for the other to give out and have them both done in the same year after your deductible is met.
  19. Fwiw, the original RF-7s benifited from power sources rated to drive 4 Ohm speakers, esspessially if used in a multichannel configuration and/or played loud. Hmm...For some reason I thought because of the explanation below in Europe they couldn't be labeled 8 Ohm: Fwiw, both the first couple of generations had a couple of dips below 4 Ohms. I believe Klipsch calls it "8 Ohm compatible." 😎

    Lucchese boots

Aw man, blast from the past. I hope you found those boots because I miss our spirited conversations--RIP in nice boots, my friend...
  21. I have a pair of RB-75 crossovers that I bought when considering upgrading my speakers, but decided not to. They are brand new purchased when the RB-75 were discontinued. Buyer pays for shipping and insurance.
  22. Yea...This. There are WAY too many variables to consider after even a few minutes, much less days or weeks. That's my take
  23. Honestly, this topic has been discussed over several threads through the decades and Klipsch engineers seemed to say the LF drivers measure pretty close out of the box and any perceived harshness would come out of the horn, which should be unchanged. Regardless, after your effort you're now enjoying your speakers it's a win/win!
  24. I think I was...My wife said someone called looking for me so I assumed that was what it was for. Stay tuned! 🕵️‍
