  1. Amy it was great meeting the folks that I did. I'm sure you have very interesting days at work. I need to email Scott so he can email the pictures to me. We really enjoyed our evening there. Did I mention the palladiums sound great?
  2. Well fender I would have loved to meet up with you but it was a last minute decision to go. But if you get a chance you owe it to yourself to listen to the palladiums. Very, very nice.
  3. Well my schedule allowed for me to go. It's late and I have to get up early so... OMG these speakers are absolutely stunning to look at. The fit and finish are excellent. I'm afraid I would have to remodel my living room they are that classy. The sound is breathtaking. I got to listen to the entire line of the palladium and I am still shell shocked. The QUALITY is impeccable. All through the spectrum from high to lows these were just dazzling. The music sounded better than if you were there. I'm sorry I don't know how to explain it but these are the best speakers I have had the oppurtunity to listen to. I got to listen to them in stereo and home theater enviroment. During playback of Iron Man I actually jumped when I heard the initial explosion. I am really impressed with these speakers. This whole experience was highlighted by meeting some very nice people from klipsch. I didn't know when I went that all the folks from klipsch would be there. What an outstanding bunch of guys. I got to enjoy my two favorite hobbies, motorcyle's and klipsch speakers. They even let me sit my fat rear on the OCC Klipsch bike. It was a beautiful bike and my daughter and I got our pictures taken on it. Thanks guys you made us feel real welcome.
  4. I listened to those at circuit city and was pleased with the sound although I am spoiled by the heritage. If you get down to Port St Lucie I'd be honored to buy you lunch. Thanks for your service. Whats your MOS?
  5. I sure do admire your work, those are stunning. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to get a pair. My house is not real Khorn friendly those would sure fit the bill. Someone is sure going to be lucky. You sure your not coming to Florida?
  6. Not planning on a trip to Florida are you?
  7. Thanks Marshall, I emailed Warren Bendler and unfortunately there is a 6 month wating list. I'll talk to you later in the week after I recoup from night shift.
  8. Has anybody heard this yet? Opinions please. I will probaly pick it up tonight but was hoping someone has listened to it already.
  9. Just so happens I had the Scott LK-48 hooked up to a pair of KG-4's. Seemed to be plenty of bass on these speakers. I now have it hooked up to some Cornwalls and it sounds very impressive to me. It sounded nice on my Belles but it really shines on the Cornwalls. I recently found a vintage Sansui 9090 DB that seems to be a better match for the Belles. Maybe Craig has a nice Scott unit he could rebuild for you. I guarantee you will be happy and probably one of the best bangs for the buck. If for some reason you did not like it ( highly unlikely) you could get most of your money back anyway.
  10. I have the 18 hp honda on mine. Both very good engines, but I believe the kawi is a tad better. Good luck and enjoy.
  11. I know the wait probably seemed like forever. Congrats, I'm sure you'll get many ,many years of enjoyment. I'm envious.
  12. Welcome to the forum! Your post is a lot to digest. I think if you move up the Heritage ladder your audio senses will be extremely happy.
  13. In the House! I have been watching local paper classifieds and craigslist for about a year for sansui and marantz gear that was affordable. I found a heck of a deal on a Sansui 9090 DB. I was going to put it in the bedroom with the tube amp but not enough room. Is it tacky to put it on top of one my Belles? Oh well that is the only place for it for now. Sounds real nice allthough I did not have much time to listen to it tonight. I have been off work on my long break to bad I didin't find this sooner so I could have some more time to listen to it. I plan on restoring this unit and keeping it for the grandkids. On another note, the lady I bought this from husband passed in January and they owned Play it again music in Melbourne Fl. She has some bozak speakers, a pioneer reel to reel 10" and a warehouse full of vinyl and some other equipment. I'm sure there are tons of vinyl and reels of music some of you guys might be interested in. She is supposed to email me with some prices. I will keep you posted.
  14. Sorry about your injury, that's a shame to have to get rid of your Khorns. Those are beautiful speakers! If you were in Fl. I would be contacting you. Good luck with your sale. I'm sure they won't be around long.
  15. I think BEC has a crossover option that is convertable to his tweeters at a later date. Maybe you could just do the crossovers for know and decide after listening if you want to go any farther.
  16. We just bought a cherry bedroom set and a mahogany buffet at moving sale. The prices were great and mahogony is my favorite species of the week, very nice.
  17. I think you did very well. You will receive many years of reliable service. What size engine did you get? There is a Huslter Turf forum, the moderator works for Hustler. Lots of good info there.
  18. Just wanted to thank your son for his great service. I graduated Orlando NTC in Dec. 72 and things were alot different then, and we did not get too much respect. Chicago is a fun town with a great variety of things to do. I loved going up the skyscrapers when I was a young teen. Good suggestions from previous post. Salute!
  19. Heating oil commodities closed at $2.11 today. That does not take into account taxes and other local cost. Unleaded gas closed at $1.62. Figure in about .60 additonal cents (average) for taxes and other fees and this is the price would should see down the road at the pump. As far as how long I can't give you a straight answer. Market conditons, supply and demand will have the greatest affect. If I was in your shoes (which I am not and only trying to make an educated guess) I would not be in a big hurry, but a sudden cold spell could change everything. It seems the big oil bubble is bursting BUT all the markets are very volatile right now. From what I have been reading the price of unleaded gas should drop considerably next week and hopefully for you heating oil will follow suit.
  20. I have an almost new almost empty bottle of crown I will trade you for the stand. Mine evaporated too. Well it did. Well ok I maybe drank just a little.
  21. Very sweet! What veneer are you using? How do you like the sound?
  22. "A is my preference because I listen to lower volumes" Marshall, I think maybe you should have your hearing checked.
