Does you sub have to be a Klipsch. SVS and HSU make excellent subs as well that don't cost near as much. I have an SVS sub and I am really pleased with mine and I think it was $600.

Very nice!

How were you "introduced" to the KLIPSCH Heritage Line?
EM3 replied to rockhound's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
It's only been about 2 years for me for the Heritage line. I got a new coworker and he saw me on the Klipsch site and he said he had a pair of Heresy speakers and would trade them for this HTiB system I had in my office. I thought long and hard because if I took the deal that would leave me with no music in the office. I traded for them took them home and refinished them. Now they sit in the bedroom so the wife and I can enjoy them. She likes them as well. I was familiar with the Klipsch sound since I had bought RB 61's, RC 10 and RS 42's for my modest home theater. I was looking to upgrade from my old Onkyo HTiB system and I started looking on the web for speakers. I read about Klipsck and went to a home theater store about 3 hours away to hear them and instantly stopped looking once I heard them. I'm hooked for life. -
I visit another forum and some guy just picked up an Emotiva amp http://www.emotiva.com/xpa5.shtm and was wondeing if they really do make all that much difference? I have looked and looked at these things and I just have no idea. I am looking for opinions. My setup is RB 61's, RC 10 and RS 42's with an SVS sub. My fronts are 10 ft away from where I set. Any thoughts?

All I have is a pair of Heresy speakers but someday I will own a set of Belles. Even if they take up an entire wall.

I forget you can do that on this forum. All other forums I belong to won't let you edit the title once it's posted only a moderator can change it.

Got the email back. Yahoo email went stupid on me.

Not much of a subject just asking a couple of personal questions. The first letter was a J and I think it was an L next. Sorry I'm not being cryptic i just hit the delete button really quick.

Back Surround height off the ground.. dolby vs klipsch discrepancy
EM3 replied to mrogge's topic in Home Theater
My Klipsch rear speakers are about 1ft above my seated position. These are lower from what they were in the previous house and they sound better in the new place. My speakers are the RS-42's. -
Cheasp and plentiful Icehouse when I wantsomething cheap.

I have the 61's and use a subwoofer for the bass in movies but I like a lot of bass also. Fot stereo music they are ok. However if you are used to the 12" woofers these may sound weak to you. Test them if you can to find out.

2006 F150 with the V8 and extended cab and it gets 16 MPG on a good day. It has less then 36,000 miles on it. I bought it when gas was over $4 a gallon so I am doing good at todays prices.

Good luck if you go. Cold here and a chance of snow. ICK!

Sounds familiar. I came home one day only to find the oven laying in the yard. I found out that the oven door had locked and the inside of it caught fire. We lived with 100 yards of a volunteer fire department so they came over and carried the burning over out. The insurance company paid us for the smoke damage caused by the over. Strange thing is though it took us about 3 months to replace that oven and when my last gas grill quit working i replaced it the next day.

Thanks for the photos! They look great.

Just wondering if anyone has picked up any of the mono or stereo recordings that were recently released. I picked up the stereo version of Abbey Road and it sounds really good. I wanted to get Sgt. Peppers but the Wal Mart was out. Any thoughts?

hooked on 2 TV shows- true blood- HBO and Sons of Anarchy-FX
EM3 replied to winchester21's topic in General Klipsch Info
Sons of Anarchy I haven't watched yet but True Blood I have. I am a little bit behind this season and for my birthday the wife got me season 1 on Blu-ray. -
A couple of weeks ago we had a Blue one show up at our house. That's strange because we had like 19 steps to get to the house and the Blue ones aren't native to WV.

Not sure about the finish but I can remember (I think) that before production ceased there were rumblings of these cars with 4 wheel steering in the works.

Glad you are ok! A few years back a friend of mine was stung outside about 15 ft from the door and passed out before she got inside. Fortunately she nade it home ok after a trip to the ER but it was touch and go with her breathing. You can see the hospital from where she lives. I had to have allergy shots as a kid. I started out once a week I think (30 plus years ago). I was allergic to pollen, dust, trees, grass, animals and watermellon. The shots do work because now I don't have any problems.

Is a Sylvania (tube) console from 1965 worth restoring?
EM3 replied to Richard Guba's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
To be honest I have no idea but you may want to try at www.audiokarma.org you will have to register but there is an area on that site where these type of consoles are all the rage. -
Great photos and I love the Outer Banks but I don't get there a lot. I usually stay in Hatteras. You really should get some of those photos blown up and frame them.
