  1. I've been very pleased with our Samsung JS7000 series LED. Its very bright, and the color really pop. Its smart features are well made and respond very quickly.
  2. So I did it! I purchased the BenQ HT2050 last night with a Elite Screens 110" motorized drop down screen. I could have done a bigger screen but that would of required me to move my sub somewhere else, but it sounds amazing where it is. I measured and tapped off the area where the new screen is going to be and its a HUGE jump in size from my 64" Samsung. Everything should get here by Wednesday this coming week. Thanks again for everyone's suggestions and info.
  3. That's awesome man! I'm looking forward to having the same experience, as this will be my first projector and big screen.
  4. I'm looking at this bundle right now! Gonna give them a peek too. Now, I know this room is far from ideal, but its the best, large area I have right now. The sitting position is about 13-14 feet away.
  5. Seriously! I'm glad the time has finally come! This is true, and falls in my under $1k budget. I do play games, but not twitch based competitive shooter games. More like rpgs, God of War, Street Fighter, racing games, and single player shooter that aren't so fast paced. I am currently reading this. I'm still looking into that, any recommendations? Ultimately I just want something that's bigger than my 64" Samsung, and will hold me over till I own my home and I can spend a few thousand on a stellar projector in a dedicated movie room. Thanks again for all your guys info!
  6. Thanks for the info! Throw distance will be 14 feet, I'm thinking of a 110" screen. It'll be in a room that can be pitch black, and there will be movies and games played on it.
  7. Hey fellas, the wife gave me the go ahead on a projector for my movie room. Needs to be under $1000 though. I've been looking at the Benq HT2050 but I would love any of your guys input or experiences with closely priced units.
  8. Praying for your mom and your family bro!
  9. If I had the extra coin, I'd be all over this
  10. He's beautiful. Congrats to you and your wife, and please know there's continued prayers for you guys.
  11. Called up Dave and ordered a pair of his horns. He said they should be ready in 3-4 weeks. Super nice guy, looking forward to seeing his handy work.
  12. Youth what an exciting time! Hope the rest of the drive continues go smoothly. That's neat you're dad gets to come along with you on your trip. Looking forward to all the pics you're going to post!
  13. I love mine! Its a beast of a sub, heavy as hell though! Tom was great to deal with, congrats on your new toy! Here's a little size comparison next to an RB-81 and an RSW-15
  14. So what's stayed the longest out of all the nice gear you buy?
  15. You're a deep bass machine bud! Looking forward to your pics!
  16. It'll be some Basil Hayden for me tonight!
  17. Luckily I haven't experienced any of it either, but I look forward to overal sound performance increase with the Fastracs. I've read the AB xovers were on the rough side. Glad you have the AB2's. Hopefully you'll get some more performance with the 4500's if you decide to go with them.
  18. I think I told you this in our PM, but I was wondering the same thing too. Something you might also want to consider dude, is your Belle's midhorn. I talked with Al K that does the ALK xovers and he recommended swapping out the horn first. So I contacted Dave from fastlandaudio, and ordered pair of Fastrac horns for my Scalas. Gonna take 3-4's before I pick them up but after taking with Dave he said swapping the K400 in my Scala would cut done on the shrillness that can sometimes be present and improve overall sound quality.
  19. Congrats bro! What's his first Klipsch speaker going to be?
  20. I look forward to what the improvements the Fastrac will bring. After that I'm thinking about getting the AP12-500 and ES5800 from Al K.
  21. I am interested in this myself. From what I have read so far they are more 'open' than the stock K400 horn. I am pretty sure a couple of members here have them in their 'ScalasHow do you like the Crites tweets and xovers in your Scalas?
  22. I'm looking into a pair of Dave's fastracs for my La Scalas. For those of you that have them, how are they compared to the K400 horn?
  23. Hey bud, did you have to get a new xover for those tweets?
  24. Thanks for the input fellas. After having my K-horns for a bit, and even though they were in a less than desirable space, I very much appreciated the mid, and tweeter being at ear level. Now my Scalas are in the corner and even though they don't dig very deep, the bass is quite good for what it produces, and was wondering if raising them up a little bit might give a little overall sound quality improvement. With that being said, I'll probably just leave the Scalas how they are. They are the best two channel speakers that I have ever owned, and was just curious if I could cheaply pull a little more SQ out of an already amazing speaker. Chris A thanks for the link, the info was appreciated.
